Say goodbye to pesky fleas with Advantus (imidacloprid). This powerful flea treatment provides fast and effective relief for your furry friend. A single dose of Advantus soft chews starts killing adult fleas within one hour. And it’s out of their system in 24-hours,* so your dog can get back to enjoying life.
If there are fleas in your dog’s environment and your dog becomes re-infested, you can safely repeat treatment as often as once per day. Although it does not prevent fleas, the active ingredient, imidacloprid, is a potent insecticide that works to kill fleas when they bite your dog. When fleas ingest the product, the active ingredient over-stimulates the flea’s nervous system and kills the flea. Advantus soft chews should not replace your dog’s flea and tick prevention. For monthly flea and tick prevention for dogs, consider Advantage II, Seresto or K9 Advantix II for dogs.
Designed for dogs and puppies aged 10 weeks and older and weighing between 23 and 110 lbs., Advantus is a convenient and savory soft chew that can be given to your dog directly by placing it in their mouth or having them take it from your hand. It’s available without a prescription, so you can immediately begin treating your dog’s flea infestation. Advantus is also available for dogs ranging in weight between 4 and 22 lbs.
For best results, use Advantus at the first sign of fleas. Advantus fights fleas fast, providing relief within the hour. Follow the label instructions carefully, and keep out of reach of children and pets. For complete directions for use and safety information, see product label.

Good product… get it somewhere else.
Product works great. Don’t buy from Amazon if you need it soon. If they deliver to the wrong address and you can’t figure out which house it was delivered to based on the picture. Then they won’t send a replacement until 24 hours later. Even though the picture obviously doesn’t match pervious pictures from other deliveries. 5 stars for actual product. 0 stars for Amazon customer service.

This works really well being non-prescription
My dog had a lot of fleas. Could see the black dots from the flea poop all over the dog’s (with the white fur) head and back. After giving for about a week, the fur was much cleaner almost no flea poop and didn’t see the fleas crawling around in the surface area. There were about 2 fleas left when I groomed the dog and it was under the knotted areas. I am REALLY satisfied and am so happy that it worked. I was worried it wouldn’t but it did! This is expensive but I am considering buying another bottle bc of the results I saw. My dog wasn’t scratching anymore bc the fleas weren’t infesting his body once he started taking it. Highly recommend that you start with this if you’re looking and want to give it a try.Update: I bought a second bottle a year later after the other chews I bought was not working. This is expensive but it works immediately the following day as advertised. Worth every dollar. I give once a week to save money.

It works and doesn’t make my dog ill
So far, this is the only flea pill that works and doesn’t make my dogs sick. Down side is the effects only last for a day or so and it’s quite expensive. If you want to get the most out of your money, you have to be religious about giving your dogs the pills every day for the first week or so, after that, you just give them a pill when you notice fleas.

Excellent product!
I discovered 3 nights ago that my dog had so many fleas all over his belly and was scratching like crazy, poor baby! I happened to have flea shampoo on hand (never had the need to use it before) so gave him a shower with it and it seemed to help. I bathed him again the next night with it and noticed he was still scratching. My husband figured he was still scratching because of the flea bites which made total sense. I saw this product and read the reviews and ordered it just in case he still had more on him that I couldn’t see. Well, I gave him the first pill this evening at about 4:00. By 6:30 he was kinda scratching a lot again but I noticed that when he hopped up on the couch, there were dead fleas and some very slow-moving, dying fleas coming off of him. I was shocked. I couldn’t believe he still had so many left on him and they still continue to fall off of him hours later!!! He seems so much happier now, he’s not scratching nearly as much and I will definitely give him another pill/treat tomorrow to totally rid him of these nasty fleas. I also vacuumed my house like crazy and bought a spray to kill any live fleas, eggs or larvae and sprayed it all over any surface and furniture that he lays on around the house. If your dog has fleas, buy this product! ASAP!! I was convinced we were rid of them after the flea baths and we definitely were not. 100% worth the money and our pup is so happy and peaceful now.

Not for medium flea problem. And it takes too long to start working as far as to take full effect.
Very few flea situation problems this works really well.

Did work but price has gone up!
I went through 3 bottles of this product and it did work at killing the adult fleas but my last order was canceled without notification and now its $20 more to purchase. It’s cheaper to buy at the pet store.

IT WORKS!! hoorayy
I’m going to be completely honest, I bought this item back in August of 2024, and it’s about to be August …again…so almost 1 whole year went by before I really tried this with my Boston Terrier, Pups. I DID try at first to get him to eat it but he just…wouldn’t and I even tried smushing it up into his food and he still wouldn’t go for it 50% of the time so I gave up on it and just left it on my bedroom table… up until today. I was so TIRED of the fleas on his body. They don’t make me love him any less but the fact they think they just have free reign on his coat.. that I try to clean, and bathe him, and there they come again. So, anyways, I was looking around, and suddenly I get a tiktok ad, this woman was talking about how her dog wouldn’t take his medicine unless she covered it in peanut butter and I was like OMG, could that be the answer after all this time?? So, I told my mom, we both went to the kitchen, I got one tiny spoon of peanut butter, lathered the chewable in there, and gave it to him and LO AND BEHOLD, HE ATE IT…no questions ask. Then, I waited. I think it took about 3-4 hours for it to take effect, and lemme tell you, all the adult fleas he had on his body rised to the surface and they were completely still and falling off his body. We were SO delighted. We immediately took him outside and brushed the rest out. Like, guys, this was ONE chewable. One. All this time I thought “man, I spent so much money on this product for nothing..” Anyway, THANK YOU to the creators of this product. Thank you. My buddy got so much relief. (=
