Great!
Works great so far! Somewhat annoying that portions are only available in multiples of 1/5 cup; so it was somewhat more involved to set up for cat feeding (smaller animal). Overall, easy to program and use. Runs on outlet power with a battery backup in case of outage. So far, it has consistently dispensed portions of food up to 5 times per day with a noise chime alert. Seems like a good value and good alternative to free-feeding my (fat) cat!

Basic but not basic
I just wanted a “simple” and “basic” pet feeder and even though this is basic, its still a lot better than one that we paid almost triple the price for. We are able to easily fill the food container part easily and even though some of our cat’s food isn’t perfectly round and has a few odd shapes, the one thing we noticed first was that it doesn’t get stuck when its being emptied out into the dish. We have now had this automatic feeder for over a month now and we have still not had any food get stuck or cause it to jam up at all. We do clean this out once a week and even after cleaning it out, still works and looks great. Not to mention, setting this up to when and how much we want dispensed was super simple too. The 12 hour gap we found was a bit too far out but the every 8 is perfect.

Not super user friendly but works well
It took me FOREVER to set this thing up, probably because it came with no instructions. However, after setting it up, totally works well. The ringtone that plays before the food drops is kind of annoying but a nonissue. Worth it for the price

Very Good for Kibble
This is a great solution for those of us who work long hours outside the home (or even at home). It’s so convenient and simple to use. You set up the feeding schedule along with the allotted amount of food and it automatically dispenses it for you. There is a manual feed option as well if you want to use it, but with the automated features, there’s no need. It even has an option to record your voice to beckon your furry loved one to come and eat! The quality is excellent, and it’s easy to clean.

Automatic Feeder
I got the feeder completely installed and programmed within fifteen to twenty minutes of receiving it, and the directions that came with it were quite clear. The quantity of four liters is perfect for my two cats since it can store enough food to last for many days after it has been used. The speed and portion control capabilities, in my opinion, are what genuinely differentiate this device from others on the market. I was able to control the precise quantity of food that was delivered at each meal, which enabled me to better monitor the diet of my dogs and prevent them from consume an excessive amount of food. This is of utmost significance since one of my cats has a propensity to feast excessively anytime she has the opportunity to do so. I get the impression that this feeder has assisted her in maintaining a healthy weight by allowing her to regulate portions more regularly than I would be able to do alone. I appreciated how regular it was, and I was able to configure up to four separate feedings at times that were most in line with the rhythm that my cats followed. In addition, I believe that the motor is also quite quiet, which is wonderful since it ensures that my cats are not frightened when the food is given. I believe that it is a great addition, particularly if you have dogs that are easily frightened, since it is a quiet hum. It is also possible for me to quickly check the amount of food that is contained inside the clear food container. Additionally, the white design is aesthetically pleasing and fits beautifully in my kitchen without being an eyesore.

Tray gets stuck
For heaven’s sake, when an item comes assembled, don’t complicate things by confusing assembly instructions. This was good to use out of the box, but I ended up disassembling and reassembling it thinking that it was necessary. Now the feed tray does not retract unless manually pushed back in which makes the whole thing useless for daily feed. Also, it plays music when it dispenses food. WHY? If the purpose is to make the morning feeding automatic, why have music that wakes you up? I’m sure it can be turned off, but I don’t have a degree in robotics. Returning.

Great feeder for the money.
This is a brilliant automatic feeder for the money. Does exactly what you want from it. I use it for feeding the outdoors cats when we are out of town.

Difficult to program and set up feeding amounts.
My unit came quickly. It is not easy to set up the programming and the instructions are not exactly clear on how to set up the unit, times and amounts. The up and down buttons on my machine are also backwards which makes programming really frustrating. You also need to assemble the feeder once you open the unit. The instructions are on the same level as IKEA instructions. The music for the feeder is loud and sounds like music that would be played at a circus. At least my pets can hear the food being dispensed. Also, it is difficult to adjust the amount of food that is dispensed at a time. The baseline unit is one scoop that is pushed out at a time which is too much food at one time. For one pet I need to control how much food comes out more precisely. It pushes out one load at a time which looks about 1/2 cup at a time. You can only control if the unit dispenses one or more portions and not the amount dispensed each time. It does need a more precise portioning system. I do like that there is a light on the side that tells me that the levels are low. I decided to change this feeder to another one that has more precise dispensing controls.

I’m still trying to get the portion sizes and times for feeding ironed out but it still makes life a lot easier. Eddie the cat is really good about appearing at the feeding station when he hears the tones. Very pleased with this, especially for nighttime feeding

the feeder was fairly easy to set up and program. I chose not to use the voice record feature, but the microphone records well.The biggest problem is the weird 1/5 cup portions. I would prefer a reasonable fraction like quarters or thirds.Nonetheless, It’s been working as advertised for almost a week now.
