Fantastic for entertaining the cat. Ours is a long hair cat, so it’s not working well as a collar right now (December) with his winter coat, but it works just fine as a small human guided laser pointer still. Being rechargeable is fantastic.

Fun to watch
Does not point to the ground very well, but my cats do enjoy it when it does shine. I have 3 cats who all play with the one collar and it is fun to watch them chase the light and the “bully” who gets to wear the collar.

Do not buy not water resistant!
First off my cat Pickles loved this product so much. Pickles spent hours chasing the red dot around my house and would sit and stare at the collar anxiously watching waiting to use it as it was charging. The collar worked for 4 total days and then the unthinkable. As Pickles was taking a drink of water his favorite laser pointer collar got wet from the water in his water bowl never to work again and unfortunately now i have a very sad very confused and depressed cat because all he did was drink from his water bowl as all cats do and he broke his favorite new toy.I gave this product a 1 star because it’s a product for an animal and it is designed for the animal to use without human supervision. The animal it is designed for accesses water through daily activities while wearing this product that is designed to fit around the animals neck and has an assumed risk of having an interaction with water throughout daily use purely due to the placement of the product on the animal and proximity of the product in regards to the animals mouth one would assume at some point water and the product would make contact at least once during use. Yet the designer and the manufacturer has done nothing to make this product water resistant at all. Nothing was put into the housing to insure that the electronics that are sensitive to water are kept dry. My 10 month old cat was able to completely destroy this product due to no extreme use or miss use of the product while operating the product within the guild lines of proper use within 4 days.So in short yes your cat will love this no I do not recommend you purchase this item. It will brake. You will be out about $20 and no the use of 4 days doesn’t cover the $20 cost. Find a product that is water resistant because your cat will drink water at some point and the toy will break

Good idea, but may need future updates.
This is a great idea in theory, but the product needs more work. I gave it 2 stars because the price is good and the idea is too. There are too many risk factors with this item for me to chance it with my cat.No safety collar; this will not break away if your cat gets it caught on something. The risk of strangling is very high.The metal snap is very hard to push into the holes on the collar.The light is not very bright.It is a durable product, but the weight is not something my cat likes.My cat was not fooled and had zero interest in the red dot. I assume it was because he was already sour about the hassle of putting the collar on. So, in the end, there was zero activity level, and the entertainment value was just not there.

So far so good! I can’t seem to get it on his neck yet but it works great. In fact I like it way better than the laser u hold and press the lil button which makes my finger hurt from pressing it so long while playing! I can just hold this in my hand, easy easy!! Love it!
