Better Weave Poles for Easier Training

weave polesweave poles

Easily used indoors or outdoors – train in all weather!

With the fixed base, you can bring training indoors in bad weather. It is also more suitable for areas that don’t have consistent grass coverage – such as desert regions. Lastly, the fixed position means you will never have to measure to ensure equal distance is between the weave poles. They really are the best choice!

A challenging obstacle for intelligent dogs

A bored dog can be a destructive dog. The weave poles are a physical and mental work out for your dog. Practicing agility training together will lead to a more fulfilling life & a closer bond between you and your dog.

Easy to separate for 2X2 training

One of the most challenging agility obstacles for dogs and trainers is often the weave poles. The fixed base design allows you the option to train weave poles using the “2X2” method. This method is beneficial for teaching your dog to learn the weave poles independently – without looking to you to lure them through each time.

The best size for use at home

At a length of 10 feet long, the Better Sporting Dogs tunnel is a great length for indoor and outdoor use. It isn’t too long for indoor use, yet it is still long enough to form the “U-shaped” bend that you will frequently see in an agility course. The 24 inch diameter is the standard diameter of competition-grade agility courses, and it suitable for most dog breeds.

By utilizing the sand bags on either end of our agility tunnel, you will no longer need to worry about metal stakes. The metal stakes can always get lost or rust. In addition, there is the potential that the metal stakes could come loose and cause injury to your dog’s feet or legs as they run through the tunnel. Using sandbags is a safe and secure method of keeping your tunnel in place.

Supported by two set of sandbags

Tunnels are generally considered to be a safe & fun obstacle for dogs of any age – from puppies to senior dog! However, it is important to use sandbags to help secure the secure from rolling around while the dog is inside. This helps dogs overcome any fears that they might have

Indoor & Outdoor Use

The tire jump has a fixed base so it can be used on any surface – indoor or outdoors. You will be able to practice agility with your dog no matter what the weather has in store! In addition, it is fully adjustable by sliding the brackets up and down the upright poles. Dogs that are just starting out have the option to let the tire jump increase in height as their confidence increases.

Great set! easy to set up and fun for the dogs to play with.
Love this set. It has 3 jumps, weave poles, tunnel and the chute with the floppy end. Instructions were easy to follow. It even came with the sand bags to hold the tunnel down. You do have to fill them with sand first. The weave poles do tend to come apart if you move them often but they go right back together easily. Definitely worth the price. My cocker boy and older cocker girl are having fun!

Awesome little kit, although multiple trips
Love my agility set for my pup. I’ve always loved dog agility although I don’t compete (yet). This probably stems from passion for equine Jumpers. Aside from pure fun, it’s also a fantastic exercise both mentally and physically with dog training and communication. As for critiquing the kit itself, it’s pretty straight forward and easy to set up. You get multiple bags tp hold different parts, especially the PVC pipes for the jumps. I do wish there was one large bag that would fit all of them into one, or even a rolling duffle of some sorts that I could take to the local park with me so I don’t have to take multiple trips.Otherwise, my pup and I love it! As well as a puppy sleepover mate!

Very acceptable for an inexpensive backyard training set
We weren’t expecting much given the price and some negative reviews but we are pleasantly surprised. Our 2 collies have been training at the startup level for maybe 10 sessions original so and after 2 tried they did as well as usual. They even went through the closed end tunnel for the first time without hesitating. The PVC was cut cleanly and all the parts fit together nicely. Even the directions were in English ( as opposed to asianish) with pictures which made the assembly quite clear. And the sand bags were excellent as well. The only jump we have trouble with is the hoop. It’s too light and even though the dogs get through, it falls over every time, hence the 4 stared.I would recommend this set for a backyard practice rig, but watch some YouTube videos if you and your dog are newbees.

Portable and my dog love it
Portable, light and easy to carry. Not exactly the toughest but for the price it works great! My dogs are small with the biggest only 28 lbs. My 17lb Jack Russell took right too it, of course she loves doing anything with her Daddy. I like how the jump poles can be just set on it so they fall off easy for the beginner… don’t want them to trip and get scared but then can be snapped in place once they are more confident. I’m not sure how long this would last with big dogs but for the easy of setup and portability even if you only get one summer it is a good value….with my little dogs I’m sure they will get a lot of play out of it.

Nicer than expected for the cost
For the cost of this set, we are very pleased overall with it’s contents and performance. Highly recommend for someone just getting into agility. Great practice equipment to set up in your yard or a park to get your dog started in agility training.

Great for starting out! Lots of fun!
Our one pup had been thru tunnels we had previously so she took to everything in the kit. Our newly adopted dog had no idea what to do but between watching our other girl and some treats he was doing the tunnels in a matter of a few minutes. Let me pass some info on. I see complaints that one of the tunnel is broken down and doesn’t stand up etc etc etc so they give this kit a bad review. Please read what you are getting. there is one long tunnel….regular tunnel. The other tunnel is called a blind tunnel by some. It does SAG at one end and that is what it is supposed to do!!!! The is part of what dogs have to do during agility training! For our new fella (with the green bone) he watched our Sasha and was curious but did not go all the way through the blind tunnel. So (as we had taught Sasha previously) once he would do the regular tunnel and took the blind tunnel and knelt down by the floppy side and opened it so he could see me from the other end. Once he saw me and came through once while i kept the floppy part from falling down he came through next time on his own. THe third time I let the floppy part “flop” and he came through like a champ. Just be patient and teach your pup what to do. Agility training takes some time to teach them. the other parts are just fine… Chewie would try and go around the jump (which i held in my hand at first to keep it low) and after seeing a little treat on the other side he never looked back. Love treat patience….the keys. Have fun with this!! You could also perhaps see some videos of agility training to help you help your dog.

    Very easy to use
I ordered this set as I am just starting agility classes with my dog (65lb f boxer). This set is lightweight, easy to assemble, and move. It is sturdy enough for practice without being flimsy. So far so good!I would add that after the original box was damaged in shipping, UPS returned it to Hoffco prior to delivery. Hoffco e/m’d me the same day to let me know and then sent me the tracking number for the replacement shipment the same day. Very good customer service!

For the price, really wish the tunnel was better made
I mean, the PVC portion of the course would cost $50 for all the parts at Home Depot. That means I paid $130 for the tunnel, and it was probably made for less than $20. I’ve only used it one day and I can tell it is going to shred pretty quickly. But three stars because it does work for now and my dogs are already going through the tunnel for a treat after one training session!

This set is so easy to setup and use, it is awesome. I keep the weave poles and jumps set up all the time and can move them inside in the winter for more fun. Lightweight but sturdy. I have had this over a year now and it is still perfect. I move the tunnel by collapsing it when we are getting a lot of rain and store in the shed. So easy with the storage bags. My dog is now getting ahead of his other agility competitors. A lot of fun.

Its not built for heavy duty use or large dogs (60lbs and under!) But for someone who wants to train their dog in their backyard how to play the basics of agility, this is perfect. Its easy to assemble and very lightweight and portable. I wish they had color coded each individual thing and its pieces, but colored tape is what we used!

Was easy to assemble and of good quality. Have not really used the tunnels yet but the dog loves everything else. I own a very active 2 year old American Spaniel and this set easily stands up to his use and abuse. I have been using it a few months already.

I got a puppy in the early fall, a Bernedoodle and, since I’m no spring chicken, I thought this would be a way for us to have some play time and fresh air together. He loves it and I’m really impressed with how quickly he’s learning these tricks. They are very light, I have no problem carrying them, and assembly is just using logic, even without instruction, quite easy. I started off with just a few poles for him to weave and I can add as he improves. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this to anyone.
