Seems good but who is to know
We have been using this food since we got our dog 10 years ago and it has been good. Hard to say how nutritious it is but she is still kicking.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This dog food is a wonderful product for my Shih Tzu dogs. They are healthy and of a proper way and they love to eat it. It may cost more than a grocery store brand but actually you feed less of this because it is quality food. It is worth every penny for my fur babies.

This is a pretty good product and my King Charles Spaniel, “Freckles”, loves it.My daughter’s Cooker/Poo also loves it as well. However, chicken can be a problem for allergicdogs. I have been switching back and forth between, Blue Buffalo and Orijen Regional made with different red meat sources. It is not cheap!My advice is to look on the web and check out, “DogFoodAdvisor.com” written by, Mike Sagman. He is sothorough and gives you great information. He also has a rating system of one to five stars. I gave the BlueBuffalo 4 Stars, as the “Dog Food Advisor” as Mike Sagman, calls himself, only gave it 4.I completely, trust, Mr. Sagman’s reviews. I found that site to be really helpful, when I needed to find a better diet for my 15lb. King Charles Spaniel. The “Dog Food Advisor” lists, all the ingredients in a certain food. He notes, those which are not really good for our beloved pets. He also, details, any special product information that you may need and helps you locate places to purchase the food you choose. Recalled pet foods. are listed as well. I think thatMr. Sagman, is really good at what he does. Check it for yourself!

We have used this for our French Bulldog for years. He couldnt tolerate grains and this food has been great for him. He loves it

good for my furbabies
My furbabies are getting older now and I think they should be eating a better dog food. I have spoiled them rotten. We feed them like babies. You know with a spoon LOL. Every morning I would put 1 cup of Beneful dry kibble in each of their bowls (now it’s Blue grainfree small breed dry kibble). I put kibble in my pocket when going out. Then they get snacks throughout the day. At dinner time they eat whatever we are eating. I like that Blue has everything that they need without the things they don’t. I also like the smaller kibble pieces that Blue comes in for easier chewing for my small breed of dog. It costs a little bit more but I think it’s worth the price. My male Japanese/bichon has had bad gas and Knee problems and my female bichon frise has skin issues( which started with the flea problem which was solved). Things are now looking up. No more bad gas and the rash is gone. Thank goodness for that. The male knee problem is managed with remydol prescribed by the doctor. When I purchased this Blue it was a $4 difference between the 4 pound bag and the 11 pound bag. So of course I got the 11 pound bag. I stored it in 5 air tight containers then stacked in a cool (not freezing cold) place. This will last a long time. My furbabies only weigh about 25 pounds. Give it a try.

My small dog LOVES this food!
My shihtzu-poodle absolutely loves this. He had a minor health issue nine months ago at the tender age of nine and a half, and the vet suggested I switch him to grain-free food. He’d never eaten grain-free in his life. When I bought this first in a pet store, the sales lady strongly recommended I mix it with yummy foods with gravies etc to get him to eat it. And she sadly reminded me that going grain free is like giving up fun, sinful food and going vegan. And she pointed out to me that even if he slows down his eating a bit, eventually he will eat it when he is hungry.The clincher was when she said that they guarantee their product, and if he’s not eating it, I could bring it back for a full refund. So with nothing to lose, I brought it home and mixed it with some of the most bland looking grain free canned food with gravy, and he actually ate it. (Even though I felt sad for him). Next day, I decided to try him with this dry food alone. HE ATE THE WHOLE THING. (Much better without mixing it with other stuff, apparently).He now has a better appetite than he’s ever had in his whole life, and his diet is way better with this.I only wish they had a choice of flavors for small breeds. There seem to be so many fun flavors for large dogs. Small dogs are people too, Blue Buffalo company! Make some more flavors for small breeds so my little Boogieman can actually have a choice of menu options!
