Perfect for indoor play
Our rescue border collie has turned into a circus seal.She loves this. It took a few days for her to really take to it, but now she’s created her own nightly routine. We toss the ball gently and she “boops” it back at us with just her nose. The trajectory goes off course sometimes, but it’s perfectly safe because it’s so light and soft/fluffy. She’s not a big toy ripper, but our Mastiff was clearly a seamstress in his previous life. We’ve had to stop him a few times trying to pull off individual puffs and finding the seams to rip.I love that there’s no squeaker in this! It gives her lots of exercise when she has to go chasing it around the living room. Because of the football shape, it doesn’t bounce or roll around in a way she can anticipate. It feels like the inside is a “nerf” football. Soft, light, and gives easily when squeezed so it’s gentle on her teeth as well. Perfect size for a 40lb dog. Because of the football shape, it’s probably fine for larger dogs, especially gentle giants. This has definitely become her favorite indoor toy. We’ve had great experiences with the Chuck it brand.

Puppy loves it
Update: I just bought another of these for my puppy who is now 10 months old. Will continue to purchase as needed in the future as it is one of his most favorite toys to play with. He’s very destructive with his toys and I am happy that I can get at least a full 2 months of heavy play before he has a hole chewed in it.My 8 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi loves this ball. He plays with it with us (fetch) and by himself throwing it in the air and chasing after it, probably at least 2 or 3 hours a day. I originally purchased the first one from a local pet store and this is the second which I purchased via Amazon. Since he doesn’t sit and chew or shred it, it seems to be holding up well with the amount of time he plays with it. It’s lightweight and has mop-like texture that is easier for a puppy to grab onto. If you have a puppy or dog that likes to chew and shred things, this ball will tear up very quickly. But if you have a puppy/dog who enjoys playing fetch and throwing things around with minimal chewing this ball will last a couple of months or so. To me worth the price.

One “Squishy” To Rule Them All…
We have a 3-year-old Pembroke Corgi that I’ve dubbed the Terminator of Playtime, simply for the fact that he never wants to stop playing…ever, which is both highly amusing and tortuous at the same time. “Listen. Understand. That Terminator is out there! It can’t be reasoned with. It can’t be bargained with. It doesn’t feel pity or remorse or fear, and it absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until you are dead.”We’ve trained him to retrieve toys by names, which in this case turned out to be “the Squishy”–though “Chucky” likely would’ve been more fitting for several reasons. This toy, out of the many, is his most favorite, to the point where I have to hide it for the sake of my sanity; otherwise, my life starts to eerily resemble scenes from a horror film, where every corner I turn, there he is with the Squishy/Chucky. Walk into a pitch-dark room, flip on the switch, boo…Squishy. Glance in his genereal direction…Squishy. Doing yoga…Squishy gets dropped on my head or at my feet when standing. Wake up or breathing…Squishy. Ignore him and he’ll eventually put Squishy on your shoulder, just in case you happen to actually be daft or blind and didn’t see him nudging it persistently in your general direction or him waiting impatiently. He’s benevolent that way.At night, both my partner and I literally freeze whenever he goes digging in his toy box, silently hoping he doesn’t grab the Round Ball of Doom, but he usually does because he’s a sadist. Luckily, it’s usually Man Unit’s designated duty at night to entertain, often being dubbed as the Chosen One by our stubby, four-legged overlord himself. Praise be! Go, me!This is my life. So be it.So, yeah…it’s decidedly squishy, won’t break my invaluable valuables, and dogs love it. A happy dog is a happy owner–short of the stalker aspect, at least . While it’s great for indoors, they unfortunately do not last long before things start to unravel–and not just meaning my sanity. The little string things definitely encourage compulsive and homicidal tendencies when it comes toys, and they may pull out strings to eat… or maybe floss with. I recommend not leaving Rover or Rovina alone with it unattended–especially if he/she is prone to destruction and leaving massacred plushy carcasses and crime scenes about regularly. Having a backup may also be helpful as well as a stealthy hiding place–you know, just in case.
