MY Dog LOVES this!!
My 80lb German/Australian Shepherd is a frisbee junkie. Out of all of the flying dics and rings he has, this one is the most durable, my fav to throw, and at a great price! It has a nice weight, so although its not the farthest flying, its distace is 100% satisfactory to me. Its heavy enough to not get tossed around by the wind, or flip sideways in the air, is easy to throw, flys straight, and my hands dont get quite as slobbery as a traditional frisbee. The design is pure genius. The soft rubber ridges allow my dog to bite down hard without puncturing because the grooves between the ridges are deep enough channels for his teeth to grip but not destroy the hard plastic core.Even though it has some weight, the rubber is soft enough to catch in the air without hurting his mouth. Not at all like the hard plastic traditional frisbees.I dont let him play with throw toys unless we are actively playing fetch, so I cant say how well they would hold up to a chewer as a chew toy.Normally Zeke cronches down hard on his fetch toys as he brings them back, so he has a lot of swiss cheese looking frisbees, and this is why I tell him we cant have nice things, lol, but these have held up impressively well, and I cant recommend them enough if you have a fetch dog that is also a little rough on their frisbees. 10/10

Perfect frisbee for large aggressive chewers!
I’ve always previously used the NERF flyers but when I last went to order they were out of stock and I’m so glad they were because this is the perfect frisbee for our lab! This disc is solid and the heaviest dog frisbee I’ve used but it’s coated with a soft rubber grip on the outside so my dog hasn’t had any issues with chipped teeth or the roughy plastic that can sometimes cut up a dogs mouth. We have been using this for about 4 months now and it is still in amazing condition! When I first received this, I left it outside with my lab for maybe twenty minutes and he did end up chewing a little bit of the rubber off. However, I was actually pretty surprised at how little damage was done considering he is such an aggressive chewer! Now we just put it up after we’re done playing with it and it looks basically new, other than where he first chewed at it!The outer grip makes it easy to throw even when covered in slobber and I just can’t recommend this disc enough! That being said, this would not be good for a small dog or puppy with baby teeth. But if you’ve got a large dog and an aggressive chewer this is the best frisbee I’ve found!

Warps After Dog Retrieved
Rugged, last longer than a regular frisbee. However, it doesn’t fly well after the dog warps the device over time with their teeth. Don’t expect to throw it far after several days of use. Great out of the box.

Love!
Great frisbee and the ridged material on top is softer for our dog to catch.

Way too heavy for a medium flyer!
This is the medium? I can’t imagine how heavy the large must be. In any case, I just got it and it looks durable.

The BEST dog frisbee!
Do not snooze on this frisbee if your dog loves frisbees! Our pup would chew a hole in the middle of kong brand frisbees and they always seemed a bit on the heavy side. This frisbee is fantastic- it’s mid-weight, the plastic frisbee that acts as the skeleton is both durable but a bit flexible- but it hasn’t broken when our pup gets it in her mouth funny. The rubber bumper around the outside is really nice. We do have one spot where the rubber has come apart but it happened on an individual line of the rubber so it doesn’t affect anything else. We just bought our second in case something does happen to our original but we’ve had it a couple months and it’s still going strong!!

Buyers Be Cautious With Recent Versions
I rarely write reviews but I feel compelled to make this information public:I have enjoyed using these to play with my 90 lb German Shepherd during the last year. I don’t throw it to fly but toss it like rolling a frisbee, the shepherd fetches it, and we play tug for about 30 seconds before I repeat the process. We do this for 15 minutes in the morning 5 days a week for the last year and we go through one of these Chuckit Flyer Toys every month before the warping of its shape starts to hinder its rolling movement. The first picture is an older disc with the result of 1 month’s worth of this activity. However, the Chuck it brand Flyer Toys I recently purchased (I’ve bought two in the last 14 days) have cracked and splintered minutes into our playtime. The cracking and splintering depicted in the second picture occurred 90 seconds into our playtime. I figured that this just may have been a single bad disc so I went to a local big chain pet store and purchased another. To my dismay, the second one noted in picture 3 cracked and splintered the same way within minutes into our playtime.I examined the discs more carefully, compared them with the old one in the first picture, and it appears they have used a different plastic underneath the flexible soft rubber covering. If you notice with the 1st picture showing the old disc purchased in February 2018, there is no cracking or splintering of the plastic at all. Just teeth marks. Picture 2 shows the disc I purchased recently online and it displays the splintering and cracking most noted. The 3rd picture shows a disc I purchased from the local pet store. What is most disturbing about this behavior is how quickly and how much splintering occurred. I worked as a veterinary tech while at university and have seen what the ingestion of plastic can do to a dog’s stomach and intestines. It is my recommendation that this toy is avoided until the manufacturer addresses this issue.

Excellent toy for my active border collie, great to chase and durable. She chews it but has not damaged it.
