Amazing as expected!
E-collar technology is one of the best e-collar brands out there, and it shows.*The Micro Educator is one of the smallest and lightest e-collars on the market, which is why it is often a great choice for small dogs or dogs with thin and/or sensitive necks.- The Mini Educator is the larger version of this collar; it has a stronger stim and a receiver that is both heavier and larger in size, which makes it not the best fit for small dogs.*I got the Micro Educator e-collar (purple) for my 10-pound, 11-year-old terrier mix, and it works great. The size of the receiver is an okay size in comparison to her body/neck (although I would like it a tad bit smaller, it hasn’t been an issue), and for what I need, the strength of the stim is perfect. We are currently using a stim level of 5 and the tone feature for recall (general and off prey) and corrections.If you are in the market for an ecollar, the Educator collars are a good place to start. They allow for wiggle room to find the perfect stim level for your dog, while providing you with a good quality tool that doubles as a handy safety net.

This Ecollar works great at stopping my pup from barking, it also helps stop bad behaviors. I don’t know what I’d have done without it.The only problem I have is the units aren’t holding a charge, but low & behold, Hannah from customer service, is sending a whole new unit even though my return window closed! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Thank you so much, Hannah!Also, a shout out to Amazon, I called them first & they were willing to refund my money if the company wouldn’t help me. Thank goodness they did & all is great!! I recommend this product to anyone who has difficulty training or has a behavioral dog.

Buy this one first and thank yourself for doing that.
Purchased to keep our 15lb Shihpoo from bullying our 4lb Morkie. We use the vibrate mode for that and it has worked like a charm! The shock mode is only used when she gets too rough and does not stop when commanded to. We have purchased several other E Collars which were useless. Wish we would have purchased this one to begin with and we would have saved ourselves a lot of headaches with the dog and a lot of money.

I wanted to love the micro. I went back and forth on purchasing this for the first year of having my mini dachshund, and originally went with a different product due to price, but we have a large yard so I needed something with greater range. I finally pulled the trigger and spent the money. I have owned the collar for less than a month and it is very inconsistent. This collar regularly shuts itself off multiple times per day, even WITH the nightly charging it has required. I rarely had to charge my previous brand collar. At first I thought it wasn’t charged, so I made sure to place on charge every night and put it back on my dog the next day, but that didn’t fix the problem. It shuts off and I turn it back on and it’s back off again within the hour. This does not help to address issues instantaneously with my dog and isn’t able to be quickly turned back on since the contact point have to be lined up from the collar to the remote, so it has to come back off of the dog each time. I just came in from a freezing night of having to chase down my dog in the yard as it shut off for a third time. This product is absolutely not worth the price and is a safety concern with it constantly shutting off. I should have stuck with my cheap off brand. I wanted to love this. When it works it’s great and I love the light feature, but the inconsistency is TERRIBLE.

Excellent tool, but battery life not good
My 12 pound maltipoo is stubborn. We have a trainer who we called to return for this one issue. She resource guards, and I am her resource. I haven’t been able to take her in public as she literally screams and people think I’m hurting the demon spawn. During walks she looses her mind when she sees golf carts, people, bikes, animals, or leaves blowing. Our training used this on her and she immediately changed her behavior. I can now walk her around the neighborhood during daylight hours (when its not hot on her feet). She is still stubborn, and on occasion I have to turn it up more than the normal 14 on a scale of 100. When she acts up, I have to put to about 20 or so to get her out of her “red zone”.The only problem i see is the battery life is bad and I literally have to charge it after every walk or she isn’t phased by it.We have more training to do, but has given us a new life of walking during normal hours.
