Perfect dog pack!
Works SO well for my 20 pound senior Norwich terrier. There’s plenty of room for him to readjust and get comfortable! Super easy to get him in the pack (he actually jumped in and wouldn’t get out), and he feels safe and secure on my back. I’ve tried other dog packs on the market, but this one beats all of them for my slightly oddly shaped dog. I like that he has room to sit instead of being held upright by his spine. So worth!

Gets the job done
At first I wasn’t sure I was going to keep it but I decided I actually do like it so I kept it . Works very well and is very sturdy and durable. My 25 pound frenchie fits in there perfectly and he even is able to move around a little. There are enough pockets and space for everything I need on my hikes. I would say this is worth the money.

Sturdy, well built!!
I’m in love with this bag!! I have used similar styles over the years with other dogs but nothing compares to this one. It feels extremely sturdy and well made. I was worried about whether my 23 pound corgi mix would fit in it or not, but he had plenty of room and the full zip was easy to load him. It feels comfortable and secure on my frame (I’m a small human) and I had loads of room to add a water bottle, first aid kit, poop bags, and anything else I want to carry. My dog is older and won’t make a long hike and this is exactly what I needed to give him plenty of breaks and not have to board him. I can’t wait to use it on the trail. It’s nice knowing that it’s airline approved as well and I have it for future use.

Not perfect, but possibly the best option for some
I use this for a 4kg rescue cat. I think it’s overpriced, but it also seems to be the only pack of its kind on the market, so for me it’s worth it. Mostly I really like it, although when I use it I’m often finding ways it could be improved, and I’d buy an improved version.The good:Function – I travel regularly between two cities with my cat, a 90-minute commute that requires biking, walking, and several buses. Although I travel light, I generally need to bring a laptop and a few other items. This bag is perfect for that, and also inconspicuous and looks like a normal backpack. Pets are allowed on the bus, but my cat prefers not to have a lot of human attention, so he likes that he can see out the side vents, but people don’t notice him. The laptop compartment is roomy, although it won’t fit too much more than a laptop before it starts to intrude into the pet compartment. The pack is well-ventilated (at least for a cooler climate), and still keeps the cat dry in a light drizzle. It has a convenient number of pockets. I’m a smaller woman (47 kg, 162 cm) and had to adjust some of the straps to the shortest settings, but it’s not uncomfortable and I can wear it on my front as well.Cat rating – Cat is obsessed! I have to hide this to keep him from constantly trying to claw his way in, so instead he finds other backpacks in the house to curl up on. Granted, my cat was already excited about his carrier, and he likes to snuggle under covers and is not claustrophobic. Mileage may vary with other cats. I use additional padding in the bottom for longer trips. He can lie down, but there’s not a ton of space left over, especially if I’m packing other stuff.Durability – I’ve had the bag a few months and it seems to be holding up well, even with abuse from the cat, who protests not being in the bag by trying to shred holes in it. As a result there are some minor perforations and runs in the fabric/straps, but it’s only cosmetic.The not-so good:Support – The hip straps really aren’t great. The pack doesn’t have a fully padded or detachable hip strap like the typical hiking pack, despite this pack being in a similar price range. Because the hip straps don’t actually fully encircle the hips, only the sides and the front, and the pack has no internal framing, the backpack tends to slide down in the back and hang off the shoulders, even with the hip straps fully tightened. If my pet were much heavier, this could be really uncomfortable.Security – I feel like this doesn’t offer much protection from bumps or from falls to the side, although for a more solidly-built animal than my little cat, perhaps this isn’t such a concern. The outward-facing part of the bag is soft and collapsible, and so the inner area is kept open during use by the weight of the cat in the hard base pulling the bag moderately taut against my shoulders. On the bus I’m always worried about people elbowing or pushing against my cat, and a bike accident could be catastrophic. The optional support bars add very little structure, aside from preventing the bag from completely folding in half. A better design (for cats or small dogs, anyway) might include plastic sheeting or boning inserted in the outer panel, top, and sides of the backpack, to give some reinforcement. I also don’t think the fabric is waterproof, and perhaps it should be at this price point.Price – I feel like it’s good quality construction, but for a similar price you can get high-tech hiking backpacks with super light frames, waterproof fabrics, etc., while this is just a regular backpack with some extra padding and clever design elements. I feel they’re able to price it like this because for whatever reason, most pet backpacks lack space for human storage.

Great doggy backpack with some quality issues
The backpack is great and it was fairly easy to convince our 15 lbs Cairn Terrier to get in it. It seems to be really comfortable and it’s easy to carry. Unfortunately the chest strap already broke off after using it a handful of times and some of the zipper pulls ripped as well. I also wish the backpack was padded at the bottom a bit – the rubber part at the bottom isn’t the most comfortable against my back.Overall I’m happy with my purchase, but I wish the quality was better.

Ik heb 2 K9 sportsacks en heb deze de afgelopen 3 jaar met plezier gebruikt. Maar met deze k9 backpack heb veel meer mogelijkheden. Ten eerste zit mijn shiba inu er beter in dan in de K9 sportsack. Ze zit lekker en stevig,ze is ook een flinke shiba (11/12kg) . Heeft genoeg zicht en plaats. Daarnaast is er nog zoveel plek en mogelijkheden om je eigen spullen in te pakken. Perfect voor te hiken! Maar ook om mee te nemen voor een city trip. Goed stevig materiaal, mooi afgewerkt. Tevreden met 5 out of 5 stars!

Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Hunderucksack! 🐶🎒Der Rucksack ist hervorragend verarbeitet und sehr komfortabel für meinen Hund. Ich habe ihn für unsere Wanderungen in den Bergen gekauft, und er hat sich als unglaublich praktisch erwiesen. Die Polsterung sorgt dafür, dass mein Hund sich wohl fühlt, selbst bei längeren Strecken. Der Tragekomfort für mich als Hundebesitzer ist ebenfalls super! Der Rucksack ist gut verteilt und die Träger lassen sich individuell einstellen, sodass das Gewicht gleichmäßig auf den Schultern liegt.Besonders gut gefällt mir das atmungsaktive Material, das dafür sorgt, dass mein Hund nicht überhitzt – das war für mich ein wichtiger Punkt bei der Auswahl. Außerdem gibt es genügend Platz für eine kleine Wasserflasche, Snacks und andere wichtige Utensilien.Die Qualität ist wirklich top, der Rucksack ist stabil und gut verarbeitet. Auch nach mehreren Einsätzen im Freien sieht er noch wie neu aus. Der Rucksack lässt sich zudem leicht an- und ausziehen, was besonders praktisch ist, wenn es mal schnell gehen muss.Fazit: Ich kann diesen Hunderucksack nur empfehlen! Er ist ideal für Outdoor-Aktivitäten mit meinem Hund und bietet sowohl für uns beide hohen Komfort und Funktionalität.

Das ist aktuell einer der besten Rucksäcke, die es für unsere Zwecke gibt. Für einen gut gebauten Havaneser mit 7 kg ist er zwar etwas knapp, wenn man ihn komplett zumacht. Trotzdem behalte ich ihn.*** Vorteile für uns:- Sieht nicht so klobig aus wie die rechteckigen Netz-Rucksäcke, mit denen man z.b. an einem Bahnhof kaum durch die Menschenmenge kommt- Mein Hund sitzt angelehnt darin und durch die gute Polsterung kann er sogar im Sitzen dösen. Es ist eher besser als in den o.g. rechteckicken Rucksäcken in denen das Tier sich zwar hinlegen kann, aber die keine stabilen Gurte zur horizontalen Justierung haben.- Durch die offene Klappe ist der Kopf immer draussen so dass die Größe des Hundes nicht so wichtig ist (würde ich diese Klappe zumachen, müsste mein Hund mit genicktem Kopf darin sitzen)- Die Gurte sind gut gepolstert. Auch bei kleinen Personen ab 160 cm sitzt er noch gut und mann den Hüftgurt gut stabilisieren- Wasserflaschen kann man gut seitlich verstauen- Die Luftzirkulation ist bei Temperaturen bis ca 20 Grad relativ gut, bei höheren temperaturen ohne Wind müsste man andere Transportlösungen in Betracht ziehen oder den Hund scheren ;)- Das zweite große Fach für eigene Sachen und Laptop/Tablet sind nett, wenn man nur einen kleinen Hund hat der nicht viel PLatz braucht. Mir persönlich hätte ein kleineres Fach unten fürs Portmonnee/Handy/Ladegerät gereicht.- Der Rucksack lässt sich relativ leicht aufsetzen, auch vom Boden.- Wenn man den Rucksack hinlegt, kann der Hund darin liegen bzw. schlafen. Gut für Restaurantbesuch, wenn es dort nicht zu warm ist 😉 Im Flugzeug (auch wenn die Rucksackgrösse zugelassen ist) bezweifele ich dass es gut funktionieren würde, ausser man übt es Monate lang vorher.*** Nachteile bzw. Verbesserungswünsche:- Die Klappe ist leider etwas zu groß, so dass sogar mein relativ großer Havaneser dadurch einfach herausspringen könnte. Wenn er mit dem inneren Gurt angeschnallt ist, kann er dennoch zur Hälfte heraushängen und den Menschen beim Herausspringen mit sich nach hinten ziehen. Besser wäre es eine flexible größe der öffnung.- Der Rucksack kippelt etwas im Stehen, also einfach unangelehnt stehen lassen hat es bei uns bisher nicht geklappt.- Die Dicke Wand zum nächsten Fach (mit dem Laptop Fach) ist zumindest für uns nicht wichtig und nimmt nur viel Platz weg und sorgt für noch mehr unkontrollierbare Wärme im inneren.- Mit einem über 8 Kg schweren Hund wäre er meiner Meinung nach weniger geeignet, da die Gewichtsverteilung im Vergleich zu diesen professionellen (überteuerten) großen Trekking-Hunderucksäcken weniger gut ist. Die Schulter/der Rücken leiden nach 1+ Std. Spaziergängen trotz der weiteren beiden Gurten schon deutlich. Der Rucksack hat ja auch ein nicht ganz kleines Eigengewicht. Bis ca 4 kg wäre es vermutlich optimal.- Mit den mitgelieferten Stäben wusste ich nichts anzufangen, habe irgendwie keine Info am Rucksack gefunden, musste hier in den Bewertungen suchen. War etwas pberrascht dass es sich um so eine simple Vorrichtung handelt (einfach hinten -wo die Gurte sind – an den Seiten reinschieben und mit den hängenden Hacken befestigen gegen Verrutschen).Also insgesamt bisher die beste Alternative auf dem Markt, auch wenn leider vom weiten nicht perfekt.P.S. Die Eingewöhnung hat bei uns ca eine Woche gedauert (mit Leckerchen). Das Fach habe ich immer zu 80% aufgemacht, dass der Hund selbst einsteigt und es sich gemütlich macht. Wenn man das Fach komplett aufmacht, geht der Hund sofort wieder raus.Ich hoffe, ich konnte jemandem bei der Entscheidung helfen. 🙂
