Can it be rolled up smaller for storage? Like into a “pancake”?
Ours can’t roll flat like that. Poles that bend like this will twist or break after repeated rolling, which is too risky. To avoid accidents, we stick with sturdier supports.
How long does the waterproof bottom last? We plan to take our dog camping and want a portable tent for him.
We left water inside at least 10 hrs, no leaks. Just a bit damp on the outside bottom. Fine for a night on wet grass. Just don’t soak the whole base. Seams aren’t built for full submersion.
Is the bottom easy to clean? Do I need a cushion?
Just wipe it clean, almost no water marks. Rinse if needed, it dries fast. Adding a cushion is a nice thought, but they trap odors and fur and may not wash well. Disposable pee pads or liners are more hygienic and way easier to handle.

My sister and I bought this playpen for our puppies, and it has been a wonderful purchase. It’s super easy to set up, lightweight, and convenient to move around. We use it indoors and outdoors, and the mesh sides provide great ventilation.The size is perfect for our puppies to play, nap, and keep their toys inside. A spacious place to play!
This portable pet playpen was bought for our furry family members and it’s a lifesaver. It’s so easy to put together, just unfold and pop it’s open. I got the beige and grey colored pen with paws imprinted on it. Looks versatile for female or males. It has an opening on top and on the side. The side opening can be kept open or closed. It’s partially mesh material making it comfortable as for air quality. Also you are able to look in our lil ones. It’s also easy to fold back up and store away. The material makes it easy to wipe clean using disinfectant wipes or just soap and water. This playpen is durable and strong enough to withstand a lil rumble. I was so surprised at how much room our lil Caramel had, very spacious. It was big enough to put in his water dispenser. Caramel is a pit so she grew quickly and because of her strength after a month we had to move her to a small kennel. However we were able to hand the playpen down to another lil furry family member, Shiloh. Now Shiloh is a mixed Yorkie and Shitzu he was able to stay in the playpen much longer. I am definitely recommending this playpen and if need be will repurchase in the future for gifting! A Good Buy!

Does the job
This product looks exactly like the picture. It is pretty roomy which is nice. I did not use this product for outdoors. My cat had surgery and I need her to be confined to prevent her from hurting herself. It’s easy to collapse. It came with a few pee pee pads. The zipper in the front I have no problem with at all. It has Velcro so you can keep it up which I love. Allows your pet to come in and out as they please. The zipper at the top (the circle) is somewhat flimsy. It can come off easily so you have to be as gently as possible using this. It came off a few times so now when I open the top I do not open it completely. It is very breathable for your fur baby. I will say if you have a pet that can be a little too energetic, you might want to invest in some type of soft weight to hold it down. The first day I came back from the ER with my cat she flipped it while she was inside. She’s calm now, so no need for weights, just wanted to put that information out there in case.

Great for surgery recovery
I bought this to keep my kittens calm and contained while they recovered from their spay and neuter surgeries (they’re recommended not to jump or play for a while after surgery, and how else can you stop a kitten from that?). This playpen worked great. It had the right amount of space for a small kitty litter, food, and a place to lay down but not be able to run or climb around.The one thing I will note is that the playpen is very light so it needs to be weighed down. For me I put two galleon jugs inside, but I’m sure books or other heavy materials would work as well. This playpen was definitely on the cheaper end of the spectrum of what I found when looking and I will say it’s a great deal!

Good for a small animal
The pen is relatively small, but it was suitable for our purposes. We were babysitting a friend’s kitten and needed a safe way to introduce them to our cat. The kitten had some accidents inside of the container, but the waterproof base made it an easy cleanup process. The mesh is strong enough to keep a kitten in, but my adult cat was able to puncture a couple holes in it when he tried hard enough. It definitely isn’t a long term container for a medium to large size animal, but the kitten had plenty of room and was quite comfortable in it. It folds down nicely and is very lightweight for traveling too.
