Product description

We all know that dogs are cute and adorable. They provide stress relief to anyone who is feeling down and overwhelmed with problems. They sense our feelings even better than humans and they have always been loyal to their owners. But while dogs are great companions, they can also add to the stress we have to deal with especially if they are just puppies or if we did not give them any proper training.
A pinch collar, also called a prong collar, is a type of metal chain placed around your dog’s neck. It’s composed of small metal rings linked together and each has a set of prongs that tighten and pinch your dog’s neck when it is being pulled. Similar to a chain bracelet, it is adjusted by removing or adding the links.
A lot of contention happens when dog owners talk about using a pinch collar. Because of its looks and its feel on the dog’s neck, a lot of dog owners feel that it isn’t right to use it. However, dog trainers claim that when it is done and applied right, the pinch collar can be a very effective tool in training your dog and getting the desired behavior.

Teach your dogs through positive punishment
Professional trainers claim that there are different tools you can use for dogs. For pinch collars, they are better suited for those dogs that have fatty and furry necks because the prongs won’t bite easily to their skin. But when it comes to smaller dogs with thinner necks, you can buy a different collar. However, the kind of training remains the same. This technique simply discourages your dog from doing anything that is out of line.

Positive punishment is an effective training choice
Positive punishment is a technique used by dog trainers and owners when altering the behavior of their dog. Similar to humans, dogs get discouraged when a negative consequence follows a certain action. This is what positive punishment does. In psychology, when a negative consequence follows a certain behavior, the person or in this case, the dog, avoids the said behavior just to avoid the negative consequence.

Love them through knowing and training them
On the other hand, there is another operant conditioning that trainers and owners do. It’s called positive reinforcement wherein they reinforce a dog’s behavior by giving them a reward after the right behavior is done. You can see this when owners give their dogs treats as a reward for doing a trick, peeing in the right place, etc. These two kinds of behavioral conditioning are the most common ways on how trainers and owners teach their dogs how to behave.

Measure the size and choose the right collar for your dog
A good collar will never puncture your dog’s skin.
Purchasing the right kind of prong collar lessens the likelihood your dog will experience pain while wearing it.
Quality prong collars are designed to gently pinch the loose skin around the dog’s neck, providing negative reinforcement in the event of pulling and misbehaving.
The right size is important. Collars are divided by weight distinction, so know how much your dog weighs before selecting a collar.
Stop using the collar once your dog no longer needs it.
Prong collars are not meant for longterm use. Working with a certified trainer, get your dog to a place where he has learned proper leash manners and no longer pulls. Once your dog has mastered good walking techniques, you no longer need to use the collar.

BIGJMAY –
Great product.
This collar did the job. It’s great, it tamed my dog within 2 walks.

Great collar.
Malinois puppy does absolutely great walking with this leash. Great for training and strong, hyper puppies, or working dogs

Works for my smaller breed dog!
I tried the snout kind for my Boston terrier (short snout) and she acted as if she was being tortured. This collar actually has helped some. She hasn’t completely stopped pulling but it’s 60-70% better, I can actually take her on walks now.Cons: it’s fairly ugly and is delivered without the soft silicon tips on the metal hooks. They each need to be applied by you, and it’s tedious.I would buy again.

Exelent
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This collar and leash set is very strong and durable. The metal prong collar provides good control without hurting my dog, and it’s easy to adjust to the right size. The leash is thick, comfortable to hold, and feels very secure during walks. I’m very satisfied with the quality and would definitely recommend it to other pet owners.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS FOR DOG PULLING
Took about 8 days of using this to correct my dogs pulling but it eventually worked! It’s hard to remove the prongs to make the collar smaller

Good Collar BUT……
So the collar is well made, sturdy, etc. However, as other reviewers have said the links are almost impossible to separate. Now please keep in mind that I have been a dog owner for twenty years plus and I have used these types of collars for all those years.I purchased this collar for my neighbor an 80 year old woman. No way was she going to be able to put this on her 100 lb boy as it came out of the box. I threw it on my 100 lb vise and tried to work the prongs so that they would be easier to open and close. After “working” one set of prongs, maybe it will be close enuf that 80 year old arthritic hands will be able to put it on and take it off. If not back to the vise it will go. Because it’s so tough to bend I think that it is a thumbs up for the quality/longevity of the collar. This collar is also not solid stainless steel. I discovered this by bending one of the links. Looks to be an alloy that is chromed. Not sure of my comments about this just saying.Btw the rubber prong covers are a nice touch being provided by the mfgr.

Works great!
I didn’t want to go this route at first but my 90lb dog just pulls to much and a vet tech recommended. I have found that it helps so much with his pulling! He doesn’t even pull me at all anymore, real game changer. The only complaint I have is that now I cannot pull him either because I don’t want to hurt him but I guess I need to work on training a little more so he will listen, lol. Great training tool, would recommend to anyone having pulling issues!

Instant relief- update
Update…At first this felt like a breath of fresh air but after our dog attacked another dog with a newly found hatred for other dogs we took him to a trainer and he explained. He told me it was most likely this prong collar that caused the issues. Dogs naturally pull when untrained. Every dog will pull when they see another dog untrained. This creates pain when he sees another dog by following his natural reaction of pulling. Dog associates pain with other animals and sometimes strangers.Nothing wrong with this collars structure build or price but it is absolutely not the correct answer. Have your dog trained properly please. We tossed our prong collar in place of a harness with a front and back connecting point to turn him away from the thing he tries to pull at. A positive reinforcement trainer will solve all your issues70lb Pit- major pulling issues. You need thisOur Pitbull although very nice, was an absolute nut on the leash/harness/whatever. He pulls at every bush, dog, tree, electrical box, squirrel, bird or falling leaf. He even pulled indoors and was starting to scratch up our hardwood. He pulled so much that my arm started to look like quagmire when he discovered the internet. My wife was scared to walk him and our daughter could not walk him at all. We thought we would need special training classes to calm him down from the excitement of being on a walk. After using this for one walk the results are instant. He has turned into a well mannered dog who crosses his paws and reads the newspaper. He says please and thank you and will most likely start cooking gourmet dinners for us soon. He pulls 90% less and understands the distance of the leash.I am happy with this product and like that it comes with with rubber nubs.20ish inch neck. 19.8 inch chain. It has about 2 fingers worth of space before it starts getting tight. Any bigger and i would be afraid he could slip out.Dont be stubborn and say these are harmful/cruel . Save your dog the bruising and choking of regular equipment. You will thank yourself and so will your dog
