Healthy, Vet-Approved Dog Food for Large Breeds
Our dogs enjoy this Purina ONE formula, and it’s approved by our vet, which gives us peace of mind. We have a lab and a coonhound, so both are high energy and food motivated. The protein-rich recipe helps keep them satisfied, and we’ve been able to manage portions easily by feeding at set times each day.One of our dogs was getting a bit overweight, and by slightly adjusting his portions with this food, he lost the extra weight quickly. Overall, it’s a reliable, balanced option for large breed adult dogs.

HEAVEN SENT – Giant Bread Approved
I could not rave more about a better dog food than Purina ONE SmartBlend for LARGE Breeds! We have gone through Blue Buffalo, Nutro, and Science Diet, and none of those top dollar/dog brands have satisfied our babies needs like Purina has. Our doggos absolutely LOVE the flavor but most importantly, it helps their joints by giving them the nutrients they need for being such big, gentle, giants! Our Great Dane (12 months old), was experiencing “growing pains” for weeks on end. We took him to the vet a couple of times and they finally did x-rays which showed his growths plates and areas around them were inflamed- causing him to limp and cry in pain. This was either 1) Due to lack of nutrition in his diet, or 2) He was showing signs of a genetic disease that would have required our boy to see a genetic specialist…. Firstly, our veterinarian suggested we switch our boys diet to Purina ONE SmartBlend Natural LARGE BREED Formula. Ever since we’ve switched, our Dane is happy and healthy again! He used to limp around the house crying, sleeping most of the day, without any motivation to anything other than lay down because it hurt him to walk or play. Now, he’s our good, healthy boy again! It took about 3-5 days for us to see improvement in his energy and walking. He has even put on healthy weight, and appears to have grown into his jurrasic head! For being the largest in his litter he was unfortunately lacking the necessary nutrients he was needing to grow big and strong! It’s amazing how changing his diet has given him so much energy, and is limp is completely gone! After doing x-rays post changing his diet, his joints looks PERFECT! It’s like they were never inflamed before!Thank you Purina ONE! You have earned a life-long friend in our family.
