Cuts big, tough nails with ease
Does what it is suppose to. Cut all 4 paws on my bulldog. He didn’t flinch. I think the guard works well. May have to adjust it from time to time, but he has big toenails and this chopped them right off with ease.

Saving TONS by doing this at home
These cutters definitely pay for themselves fast, especially with how fast my girl’s nails grow! I may have a slightly easier time with them since I’ve worked with dogs on and off for a decade, but they’re very straightforward, as long as you aren’t nervous + have a basic understanding of how your pet’s anatomy works. Granted, if you’re capable of making your dog sit still long enough to use, these are a quick and easy way of trimming a dog’s nails. I will say it takes a little bit of effort to cut through each nail, but I think they’re definitely worth buying as a budget option. I’ll also give it some slack, with a dog’s nails being pretty solid, but they definitely cut quick and easy if you have better grip strength (and bigger hands) than I do. The safety guide is also very useful, and my only small gripe being that you have to make sure the previous nail hasn’t gotten wedged between the guide and the blades. Be prepared for them to otherwise go flying across the floor!

Easy to use on my big dog
I bought these for my golden retriever since he hates the vet, and the safety guard really helped me avoid cutting too deep. The blades are super sharp so it didn’t crush his nails, and the little hidden file was perfect for smoothing out the jagged edges afterward. It’s way cheaper than paying for a professional grooming session every month.
