Dogs go bonkers!!!
The dogs absolutely love these! I have been mixing wet food and water and whatever else, freezing, and feeding as a treat and they go bonkers for them!

No challenge & hard plastic
It’s a very hard plastic so it is very loud when the pup uses it. I worry about it damaging floor and walls or the product breaking. The frozen treat part works great, the food side however DOES NOT. The hole that let out treats it just too big and the opening for the frozen section let’s the treats all fall out. Not challenge for the pup. The mold and toy itself are well made otherwise and easy to clean.

Tricky to Fill
So, I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this toy. The concept is fantastic and I’m a huge fan of being able to mix up a batch of filler and fill, freeze, dump into a ziploc, repeat. This way I can keep much more on hand in the freezer than with other brands where the filler has to be frozen into the toy.We tried the greek yogurt, pumpkin and blueberry recipe and it seems like a really nice option that the dogs enjoy. There were other recipes included and I’m sure you can find lots of healthy options on the internet. So, at this point, I’m really pleased with the toy.However, I have run into a couple of problems. First, you need to be aware that in order to fit these frozen treats into the toy, you need to be extremely intentional regarding how you pack the freezer pop portion. The filling needs to go into the opening and not expand outside of it. By this, I mean you need to take a knife and level off the top and clean up around the edges. I didn’t realize this and my first batches wouldn’t fit into the toy. This isn’t a deal breaker or anything, but I wish I had realized because I could have saved myself some headache.The other issue can’t be fixed just by packing the freezer pop maker correctly. This is a really cool design. It’s made so that it can hold one or two of the frozen pieces. So, if you have a large dog, you can remove this piece that goes inside that divides the toy in half. You place one pop in the bottom and set the other pop on top of it and screw it closed. No problem. (Well, as long as you packed it correctly in the beginning.) Happy dog. Now… if you have smaller dogs, like I do, this is a little different. You leave the divider in place and only place one pop in on top of that and screw it closed. Great. Well… not exactly. Here’s where I ran into an issue. This center piece I’m speaking about has a big hole in it. It makes it easy to pull it out when you need to. However, while the small pup is playing with this, and the frozen treat is melting, it’s dribbling down into the other half of the toy. And, as it melts and your pup pushes his nose into the toy trying to get at the frozen treat, he’s actually pushing the treat through the hole and it ends up out of his reach. It’s a little frustrating.To me, the added work getting the freezer section ready to go, plus the added headache of that center divider is actually not a deal breaker. Why? The ability to have a bunch of homemade frozen treats ready to go at a moment’s notice is worth the trade off. I just want to make sure that it’s very clear how this works and you can decide for yourself if it’s right for you.

Play time made easy with frozen or dried treats
To keep my dogs from getting bored, I like to give frozen treats in toys like this one. At first, I thought it was going to be too small of a size for my big mouthed doggies but it works really well!I started with a mixture of pumpkin and plain yogurt and it was a hit! It was even easy to clean because they both licked the toy completely.The value is good, as it can buy me at least 30 min. of peace and quiet while I work.It’s easy to twist to get the food containers in and it’s fun to see how happy my dogs are when they know it’s coming!I got two different colors which both look good.
