Awesome clipper set especially for the price
I’ve clipped my cats’ nails since they were babies, and this is one of the better pairs I’ve used. I love the included file; that’s a great way to ensure that your cat’s nails aren’t jagged, though my boys weren’t really fans. The guard on this clipper makes it much easier to safely trim your cat’s nails, though I always say less is more if you’re not sure. They’re durable and easy to use. And I was able to use this clipper with all of my cats, even though they’re all differently sized. This is a great set of clippers!

Didn’t work well with 8 lbs cat
Too big for my 8 lbs cat. I feel like this is for small-size dogs or puppies.

Dull blades
These were much harder to use than the previous clippers I bought. The blades were dull and I had trouble cutting through my dog’s nails. The handles were small which made it difficult to apply pressure. My golden retriever is usually very compliant when I trim her nails. Because I struggled cutting through her nails, she became impatient and uncomfortable. I would not recommend these unless you are on a very tight budget. They may work better on a small dog.

I didn’t know I needed these
My bf insists on trimming the cats nails and that’s not something I have done before. We used toenail clippers in the past to mixed results.These are SHARP and cut so much easier! The handle adds extra control and makes the process safer and easier.The cats so not like the included file, but it does help tone down the burrs on the nails after trimming.The rounded blades help guide the claw into position and overall is a much simplified process now.

Good grip, works well on thick claws
My cat has some very thick claws on her back legs, and these are doing well for chopping off the ends. They were so long that it sounded like she was wearing high heels when she walked by! I had small, skinny, scissor-like clippers that would essentially just bend her hair sideways, and I would end up getting bitten. I like the thickness of these clippers and the grips on the handles. It’s nice that they come with a nail filer, I guess, but my cat is way too difficult to allow me to do that.

Good tool for keeping a grip while trimming
Great grip and the spring action is exactly what I need to accomplish the trimming of my cats and dogs nails. Most of my pets are very uncooperative and I give up and end up going to our groomer which is costly and time consuming. I really like the bigger grip on these which makes it much easier to make quick trims while holding on to a pet. Thumbs up on this product.

Very good clippers
This set of claw clippers is surprisingly good for the money. The handles are robust and easy to grip, and there’s a little plate that you can pivot to use to restrict how deeply you cut the claw so you don’t accidentally snip the blood vessel. I was afraid that for such an inexpensive pair it would not be very sharp, but it was fine. And if you don’t want to use the plate, you can still clip claws without it–just pivot it out of the way.Recommended.
