Nifty tool when combined with nail clippers
I was on the fence about this, but decided 5 stars is appropriate for this but not as a stand alone. Just like human mani and pedi, you clip the nail then file. Same with this product. The heat and vibration from using this alone is too much for any pet. I found success in using the trimmers first then this tool th smooth the edges.I do love that it’s cordless and holds a charge for the full trimming. I’ve never attempted multiple trimmings with it, so I can’t speak to its usage in a grooming salon.

Quiet and Safe, But My Dogs Are Still Getting Used to It
This dog nail grinder is quite quiet and seems well-designed, especially with the cooling sponge and safety guard system, which make grooming cleaner and safer. It’s pretty light weight, so you don’t have to worry too much about it being hard to use. It works well from what I can tell and functions properly, seems pretty easy to use. The five adjustable speeds and multiple grinding heads are great for different pet sizes and nail types, giving me good control. I also like the LED light—it helps me see better during trimming.That said, my dogs are still a bit scared of it, so I haven’t been able to fully test it out on their nails yet. The noise isn’t too loud, but they’re still cautious around it, so I’m working on getting them comfortable. Overall, I think it has a lot of great features and potential—I just need a little more time to get my pets used to it.

Decent, but Not Strong Enough for Large Dogs
This grinder is quiet and easy to use, which I appreciated—but unfortunately, it wasn’t powerful enough for my 70 lb lab mix. It might work better for small to medium-sized dogs with thinner nails. For us, it just didn’t get the job done efficiently. It’s okay, but not the best fit for larger breeds.

Works great! No longer need to take a trip to the groomer just to have dew claws trimmed!
Although the little dude is VERY good at recognizing that a bath, tooth brushing, or (now) getting his nails did is imminent, so goes and hides in clever places, he’s still a sucker for cookies and they’ll draw him out every time.It did take a while, but I started introducing this grinder to him by turning it on while brushing him, then placing it very near or even touching him. He wasn’t the biggest fan of the slight vibrations or noises coming from it, but he is a bigger fan of getting brushed, so would put up with it.After a while of that, I noticed his dew claws were in need of a trim. I called him over, calmed him down with some brushing, then began bargaining with him to let me touch the tool to his nails. He resisted quite a bit, but then he did let me get after one and I got it almost all the way down to the quick very- quickly.He wasn’t so bothered by his rear leg nails being tampered with, so those were super easy. I finally managed to get all 4 dew claws ground down and even shaped them a bit so no sharp edges.Very easy to use! Handy light! I wore a headlamp anyway, since I found that a better way to get light where I needed it.With some slight scolding and heaps of praise, we were done in about 15 minutes! Fantastic!Great product! Easily recommended!Oh yeah, I had an extra sunglasses pouch laying around, so dropped this thing in there with all of its spare parts and its ready to go whenever. Get one!

Hold the power button to turn on. Battery life is amazing.
Don’t be like me and think that it’s broken when it doesn’t turn on. I had this for quite some time before I accidentally realized holding the power button turns it on.It comes with teeny tiny little sponges that go into the back of it. I’m guessing you’re supposed to put water in it to help with the nail dust.It comes with extra bits which is great.It’s comfortable to hold while you’re wrangling a wiggling doggy.Battery life has been great, I have yet to need to charge this and it’s been weeks with four dogs and constant trims.

Electric nail trimmer.
Super easy to use! Its perfect for small dogs and big dogs! The noise level is really low so it won’t scare your dog! The battery is long lasting! I’ve been using it for a while now and only charged it once. The light that is attached to it, is error bright so you can see everything to minimize possibly hurting your baby. The speed is adjustable. Its inexpensive and better than traditional clippers.

Very easy way to trim a small dog’s nails
This works pretty well! It comes with everything you need and fully charged as well. The instructions for use are clear and well-written. It’s not very loud, which meant my dog tolerated it. It’s not super powerful though, which is probably why it’s quieter. It’s light though, which makes it easy to hold while also restraining a small dog. I can’t promise it would be as easy for a large dog, but I’m sure it’s fine if you have help. I was able to do it easily by myself with my 15 pounder. It is easy to hold in place to grind the nail down, and I worry a lot less about getting too close to the inside parts that bleed when I cut too close. If the nails are super long, you’ll probably still have to trim them first. I trimmed his dew claws first, but I was able to just file the rest without trimming. I feel like if I use this consistently enough, I’ll never need to trim (and risk hurting him) again!! I couldn’t get a good shot of his nails, but here is a picture of Max not looking even remotely traumatized after me using this!
