Great interactive toy
My overall rating is a 5 stars because our dog absolutely loves the toy! It is a great tug toy and “launching” toy for fetch… Although she doesn’t quite grasp the return part of fetching. She’d rather play “case me if you want it back!” I wish I had a better video but didn’t think of making one until we were pretty much done playing. But you can see she’s been playing hard up until this clip and is still wanting to play more… I’m the one exhausted. The rope part of this toy is what takes playing fetch to another level. Give it a good wind-up and let it fly! The weight of the ball carries it really far and very fast! More than I expected based on other toys one purchased. The first launch almost went over back wall of our yard! Skye didn’t mind cause the rope made it easy for her to find it in the ivy. She loves throwing it around up in the air and flinging it around like cats throw their toys around. The ONLY issue is, of course is the durability. This toy is meant to be an interactive toy only. Once you’re done playing, put it away if you want it to last. Especially if you have a dog that chews everything. It IS well made and of nice material, but no toy will survive her chewing skills. She’d have the rope chewed off in minutes. So it’s up to the owner to keep this toy safe! If your dog isn’t a chewer….I envy you and this toy will last a really long time! I would definitely recommend this toy for water or beach play as well. It’s a big ball, but the rope and the groves in the ball make it very easy for her to grab. And if you don’t want to use the rope to play, it fits into the groves around the ball and hooks into place. But honestly, we will never use that feature, the rope is the best part in my HER opinion! Definitely recommend and I’m going to buy more! I’m not thrilled with the price but everything is expensive these days,and if it’s taken care of, it will last a long time.

This is perfect for puppies. And small to medium dogs without strong biting jaws
My border collie loved this as a puppy but wore out the rope. I got her another now that she is a year old and she loves it still but the rope showed wear almost immediately. She runs dragging it behind her and watching it bounce and she also swings it back and forth banging it on her head often but, it’s so lightweight I don’t worry that she’s doing any harm to herself.

Fun tug and toss dog toy
Fun product that my dog and I enjoy throwing and playing tug of war with. I do wish they were more durable. The part of the rope where the human is supposed to hold comes apart during tug of war. I just tied a not on the end but not ideal. Also the ball can detain the rope after a while but my boxer is 80 pounds and pulls very hard so all blame does fall on the toy.

Great Concept, Poor Durability — Rope Stitching Failed Fast
My dog absolutely loves tug of war, fetch, and shaking floppy toys around. He also loves his kick fetch ball so I thought this would be the perfect toy for him. And it was!… for exactly two (2) afternoons of playtime. The stitching on the rope gave during moderate (not flinging him through the air on anything crazy) tug of war with my 45lb dog. It’s the perfect idea for a toy if the rope was only sturdier.

Mali-Dutchie loved it, didn’t last very long (about 5 days)
Have a 70lb female malinois-dutch shepherd with very high prey drive. She loved this one. Good toy for inside chase/ tug, but key is making sure she doesn’t hold onto it longer enough to do damage. First rip around cord after about 2-3 days, then cord pulled out on day 4. We continued to use as a ball until outer skin removed. We could have done better taking it away from her more quickly, though it was never a chew toy. Would consider buying another at some point. We were hoping it was a little bit more durable. Larger chuck it balls (soccer ball sized) last about a month for us. Please make more durable!

My border collie x kelpie’s absolute favorite toy. Has been loving it since he was 10 weeks 😭 He’s slowly learnt how to hold the heavy ball, dribble it while running, evolved his bite grip as his jaw has expanded and teeth erupting. I have such a good time myself with kicking, sling shotting and throwing the ball. He’s now 4 months and absolutely a beast with retrieval.

This is one of my dog’s favourite toys. It can be thrown, kicked, or a bit of tug of war. It is hard but if you have a dog such as a black lab, it will see a lot of abuse. The attached bungee cord can be used to give a better arc when throwing the ball. The cord is very durable but after a period of hard playing (ie tug of war), the rubber where the cord enters the ball will start stretching and come apart. However, This ball lasted my lab for a full year before it started showing wear and tear. We recently purchased this replacement.
