Great brush for my girl
Great brush for my mostly Malinois. She has a double coat and sheds twice a year. This brush has little nibs on the ends of the tines so it won’t poke holes in your fingers or her skin. It is very effective for removing her embedded fuzz undercoat. My girlfriend liked it so much bought one for her cats.

Gentle, Effective Brush for All My Pets, But Packaging Is a Letdown
With two dogs and a cat, I’m always looking for a good grooming tool that can handle different fur types. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this simple slicker brush performed.The brush itself is soft and flexible. The bristles have rounded tips, and the air-cushion base lets it conform to their body. My cat, Willow, was in absolute heaven while I was brushing her. It did an excellent job loosening her undercoat and getting the dander out of her fur without being too harsh.I also tried it on both of my dogs. One is a short-hair, and the other is a Golden Retriever, and it worked well on both of them. It was particularly effective at gently working through some mats in the long fur on my Golden’s ears, which is always a sensitive spot.My only complaint, and the reason for 4 stars, is the packaging. It arrived in just a cheap, thin plastic bag. As a result, a few of the metal bristles were bent pretty badly on arrival. From a “fix-it” perspective, it was an easy problem to solve—the bristles were flexible enough that I could carefully bend them back into shape without breaking them.However, for a product with fine metal bristles, this kind of damage is almost guaranteed with such flimsy packaging. A simple cardboard box would prevent this.Overall, it’s a great brush that’s gentle and effective on all my pets. I just wish the manufacturer would invest an extra ten cents in packaging to make sure it arrives in perfect condition.

Spot-On Slicker for Long-Haired Shedders
I’ve gone through a drawer full of cat brushes over the years—cheap plastic slickers, a couple of mid-tier ones, and our trusty Furminator for the heavy deshedding sessions.When this Fokauiwo showed up, the wood-grain handle immediately stood out; it feels premium right out of the box, no breaking-in required. The grip is solid and the head has a slight air-cushion give that keeps it from digging in too hard.No setup fuss—just open the package and start brushing. Bristles arrived perfectly straight and noticeably longer than the typical cat slicker I’ve used, which lets them reach deeper into the undercoat without the usual surface-only skim.I tested on our two long-haired Ragdoll cats, both heavy shedders. The difference in “drag” is obvious on the first pass; those longer stainless pins with coated tips pull more loose fur per stroke than any other slicker we own. Our brush-loving cat went into full purr-mode and kept rolling back for more—clearly his new favorite. The brush-averse one tolerated it exactly the same as our old Hertzko, so no miracles there, but also no extra complaints or skin irritation. The rounded tips live up to the no-scratch claim; even on bare belly skin there’s zero redness.Hair clumps nicely between the pins for easy finger-raking cleanup afterward, same routine as any slicker. After two weeks of near-daily use, the cushion still has its bounce and not a single bristle is bent or missing. Build quality puts it in the same league as the Furminator (though remember this is a slicker for regular maintenance, not a deshedding blade).One wish: a smaller head size tailored for cats would be perfect—I’d buy it instantly. As-is, the full-size head is fine for our Ragdolls and would suit medium-to-large dogs without issue.If you’ve got a long-haired heavy shedder and already own a deshedder, grab this as the ideal daily driver. Five stars—better than the average slicker and a solid companion to the Furminator. Highly recommended.

Great
This slicker brush works really well for shedding and everyday grooming. The rounded tips are gentle on the skin, and the air-cushion design makes brushing more comfortable for pets while still being effective at removing loose hair and undercoat.I’ve used it on both long and short hair, and it does a great job detangling without pulling or causing irritation. The brush feels well made and easy to hold, and it removes a surprising amount of loose fur with each use.

Top tier brush at a bargain bin price!
The Fokauiwo slicker brush is probably my favorite brush that I currently own for my border collie mix. I have tried so many different brands and styles of brushes to detangld and smooth her coat without damaging it, and I finally found my Holy Grail.On top of working perfectly to get out the tufts of fur as she’s blowing her coat and smoothing her overcoat beautifully, the brush is so comfortable to hold and use. It’s even better than the brush i have with an ergonomic handle. I personally find the brush very easy to clean as well, with the collected fur coming off in a mostly-intact sheet. There are the occasional small bits that get stuck, but using a toothpick makes short work of those. The bristles are also quite gentle. I was briefly concerned when I saw how fine the bristles were, so I decided to test it on my own hair before introducing it to my dog. I brushed it fairly hard against my scalp and had no discomfort at all.This brush is a solid winner in my book, and all my other dog brushes are going to the grooming graveyard in my closet.

The brush is to hard it sort of feel like a wire brush for bbq grill cleaning i wouldnt dare brush my pets with this— will be returning shortly!

Not so good on short haired shedders
This slicker brush is pretty basic, it’s lightweight, has an ergonomic handle, and decent bristles. The problem with the brush, for me anyway, is that it isn’t very good on a short haired shedder like my pug. It removes some hair but not nearly as much as a Furminator would. I think it would work fine on a longer haired dog like retriever or shepherd, but not the shorties.
