    Very Effective
This is a great product, My dogs have used this for many years & works! No real need for heart worm meds, since this repels mosquitoes. Very good value. My dogs are outside often & no ticks or fleas!

    Removes fleas fast
This is a good product. It gets rid of the fleas on my girls. Never had a problem with it. It’s the only one I will purchase.

    Seems to work
I have been using this since I got my dog. So far no ticks or fleas. She does not really go anywhere except for on a walk each day, so not sure if she has even been around fleas or ticks, but I keep giving this to her every month just to make sure.

    Effective to an extent
K9 Advantix does work. I’ve used it for two summers now. My only disappointment is that the product doesn’t prevent or stop new fleas from attaching to your pet. It will get rid of fleas once they’ve attached, but won’t stop fleas from attaching. It would be nice if this product could work as a preventative.

    This gives my dog Seizures!
This gave my Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky) seizures, so be VERY careful of giving this product as not all dogs react well. Last summer my dog had issues like vomiting, small weird twitching things I thought might be small seizures so I took her to several different vets and they couldn’t figure out the cause. It calmed down over winter and she was doing great UNTIL I gave her the first dose of flea medicine for the year. She is typically with me all day but I left the room for a few minutes and when I came back I found her excessively drooling, along with several piles of vomit and pee on the floor. I took her to the Urgent Care Vet and they couldn’t figure out the cause (now I know she had a seizure). She was doing great again UNTIL I gave her the next dose of this flea medicine and the next day was the first time I saw my dog have a full blown seizure and yet again she was drooling excessively, vomited, peed on the floor, and couldn’t walk straight. I took her to the vet again and she thought she might have epilepsy. I remembered the prior summer and then discussed with her how she was having some issues last year like vomiting and some weird body movement and what I thought might be very small seizures. BUT that they stopped over winter after I stopped giving her the flea medicine and started up worse this year the day after I started the medicine. The Vet looked up the medicine and video I shared with her of my dog having a seizure and said that the Advantix Flea medicine does have an ingredient that can cause seizures and the other symptoms she was displaying and agreed it very well could be the medicine. She ended up having 1 more seizure 2 weeks after the 2nd flea treatment as the medicine stays in their system for at least 30-days. She has been good since and that was several months ago. I will no longer be giving her flea medicine like this as it is not worth it due to the very serious side effects. So be aware that this medicine can cause serious side effects.

    Only will buy this brand
I briefly switched to the off brand of this, and while it worked for us for 6months, it quit being effective. So I switched us back to this K9 Advantix II, and wow, the difference! My 7lb 4yr old Maltipoo is now flea free. I will never go back to using the other stuff again.

Pretty sure it made my dog sick
We followed the instructions to a T. It’s not our first time with K9 Advantix, but it was the first in a long time, as we have no problems with fleas and ticks in our area, but wanted to make sure o ur pups were protected against them while out in the wilderness for a camping trip.About 4 days after the application, our 6 yro Yorkie became extremely lethargic, stopped eating, drinking, and had several bouts of diarrhea. My husband noticed a rash on his back, from the base of the neck all the way to the middle of the tail. Thinking it to be an episode of gastroenteritis, we switched him to a bland diet peppered with probiotics, administered an anti-hemetic and kept an eye on his fluid intake. No changes. In several trips to the vet, we had his blood, urine and stools tested – no signs of g.i., heart or kidney issues. X-Rays and ultrasound showed no abnormalities. The doctor was at her wits’ end, as we tried and tested everything we could – when we mentioned the flea/tick treatment, she showed concern and advised us to be aware of the adverse reactions such treatments might bear, especially on small breeds. This situation went on for almost a month until he started showing improvement. I’m cannot say I’m 100% sure K9 Advantix was the root cause of my dog’s sickness, but considering the amount of tests ran and the fact it was the only “change” in his routine over the course of that month, I can’t rule it out either. Just be careful and aware of the possibility of side-effects. We’ll not be using it anymore, and with that we cannot recommend it again. 🙁
