Really Creamy and Moisturizing
I rescued a kitten who has had many issues, with one being his nose is dry and crackling. I have been looking for something to put on his nose that’s ok if he licks it, which of course he does. I ordered this lick safe paw and nose balm to put on his nose, and I am really pleased with it so far.I’ve had paw balm before and unlike it, this balm is easy to get out, even though it is a solid in a tin jar. To get it out is easy by just rubbing around in the jar. It goes on his nose easily and feels extremely moisturizing going on and feels nice on my finger. My hands, especially around my nails are really dry in the cold weather, and something interesting about this balm is that my fingers used to put this on him, aren’t near as dry as the rest.This balm not only feels nice, but also smells very lightly like honey and isn’t strongly scented. Since my main focus is my kittens nose, I appreciate it doesn’t have a floral scent like some paw balms I’ve had in the past. At first when I put this on he wasn’t a fan, but after a few days of putting it on multiple times a day, he seems to like it. He does lick his nose like every cat and dog does, so knowing its safe is very important.So far I have noticed his nose is feeling a little less dry and crackly. It’s not a miracle that solves the issue immediately, but it does feel and look a little better from when I started putting it on him. The tin its in is easy to open, but since it unscrews instead of popping off, its safe and closed even when I dropped it. This is a quality paw and nose balm that is lick safe and truly is helping my kittens rough little nose.

It works well on both dog’s paws & on human hands!
This product works very well! Prior to arrival of this product (in the early evening), I had spent the day cleaning our house, so my hands were in & out of cleaning solutions and water all day and were super dry & chapped. After I opened the tin, I noticed the very nice fragrance (coconut with a little citrus, I think) and thought… “let’s see if this stuff works on human hands too”. I applied a little bit that evening and was pleasantly surprised at how well it moisturized my dry hands. It works VERY WELL!!!I am a long-time and active user of O’Keeffe’s Working Hands for my hands & have to admit that this balm (which I purchased for my Newfoundland dogs) actually works better on my hands than O’Keeffe’s & I used a lot less of it! With this balm, a little bit goes a long way.After initially “confiscating” this product for my own hands for 2 days, I did decide to “share” it with my Newfs. We live in rural upstate NY (on several acres of land) and trail walk for a couple miles every morning. It’s currently wintertime, so we have been walking in deep snow, in sub-freezing temperatures for the past month, so their paws/pads are rough & dry. Once a day, for two consecutive days, I rubbed the balm into the front left paw pads of both dogs. After 2 days, I was definitely able to tell the difference between the paw with the balm and the paws without any balm. The paw with the balm wasn’t dry and was in much better condition. My older Newf licked the balm in the open tin, but neither licked the balm off their paws.Overall, I think that this is a great product & works well on both dog paws and on human hands!

Good product, not fond of smell
This is a nice feeling product that does seen to work on my dog’ pads. It takes a bit to absorb so I put it on in the evening before dogs are kenneled in their room for the night to keep it from being tracked over the floors. My only complaint is I’m not super fond of the smell. It’s not bad or super strong. just sugary sweet so that’s a personal preference thing.

Smooth, Silky, + Pleasant Light Fragrance
I’d rate this 5/5 stars. This paw & nose balm is soothing, easy to apply, and perfect for dry or cracked areas…or just for massaging your dogs pads. My dog tolerated it well, and I felt good about the ingredients and smell.Use & Results:I applied it to my dog’s dry paw pads and nose daily for about a week. The consistency is moderately thick but not greasy, and it spread easily with my fingers. His pads get pretty rough at daycare, but this balm helps to soften them up after wiping with a clean pet wipe or cloth. The balm spreads nicely, and doesn’t fall apart or become too greasy. My dog didn’t try to lick it off excessively, which was a big plus. The smell is “coconut”, but it was just barely perceptible (to my human nose), so it shouldn’t be too fragrant or irritating for pups.Pros:• All-natural ingredients like shea butter and coconut oil• Soothes dryness and helps repair irritated skin, paw pads, noses• Easy to apply with minimal mess• Minimal scent, pleasantCons:• The size of the container is pretty standard, but I wish they’d make these things in bigger sizes. These little tins don’t last very long when you use it daily. Would be good to keep as an extra, or spare, for a quick dab on the nose or in a hiking/first aid bag.Best for/Not for:Great for dry paw pads, noses, or rough spots on dogs of all sizes. Start with a small patch to make sure they don’t mind the smell/texture. Do not leave this (or any other balms) in the hot/cold car as it could melt or separate the ingredients.

Thank goodness this is lick safe! There is something in this that when I opened the tin for the first time had the pooches going crazy.It goes onto their paws easily appearing to melt in contact with their pads and it gets rid of the dry cracked appearance, but oml, they were trying to get their heads in the tin, licking it and were bouncing over us to get to it. They licked their paws and noses like they’d been dipped in honey and were distracted for a nice amount of time. Then they went on the hunt to sniff out the tin again! I don’t know whats in there that they love so much.I’ve compared the ingredients to other balms we have and I can’t see what it would be but this is their elixir and being all natural ingredients gives me peace of mind when they do try to ‘eat’ it 😂 .For me, it smells vaguely of vanilla and the reaction they’ve had confirms it’s definitely good value.As a mere human whose sole duty is to pamper the pooches and tend to their every need 😂 I can say it does the job and nicely.From the 4 paws crew it’s 5*EDIT. Having read some of the other reviews and seen that customers have also used this on themselves I thought I’d give it a try too. It’s definitely a new wonders for my hands and dry skin on my feet. The dogs were not impressed I had the audacity to use it on myself after putting it on them and I got bombastic side eye and huffs for my outrageous behaviour for ages afterwards 😂 but thanks for the ‘unofficial recommendation’ I’d never have thought to give it a go without you. It’s definitely going to be ordered again.

My dog has had sensitive or tender paws this summer, even though I don’t walk him outside in the sun or on hot pavement – maybe it’s age, I don’t know. But I got this balm to try to soothe his little paws and make him more comfortable. I like that it’s got natural ingredients that I recognise, and that it’s also safe for him if he licks at it.This balm is kind of thick and viscous, maybe because of the beeswax. My dog didn’t like it when I tried to apply it to his paws – I persevered though, and he settled once I wasn’t touching his feet. I think he didn’t like the texture, but I also think that I used too much. But I’ve noticed that since applying it that one time, his paws have remained really soft and I haven’t needed to apply it again.So although I didn’t like how unhappy he was about me applying the balm, it’s absolutely made a huge difference to his dry paw pads, and he’s been more playful and happier overall since applying the balm. So I think it works.

This is great for my dog he gets a dry nose so this is great easy to apply and no issues if he licks his nose. Great productMy dog does lick it after I applied it but it doesn’t cause any harm to him and is safe for dogs even if they do. The size of the container is good it will last you a at least 2 or 3 months with regular use

This balm comes in a tin and you can just dip your finger in to apply it to your dog’s nose or toe pads. It’s amazing how well it soaks in and soothes irritated and cracked skin – I am a little jealous! Coming into another brutal Australian summer with sun loving dogs this is going to be great! I love that this product is safe if licked, because it is almost certainly going to be sampled. Hoping it will stay on long enough to sink in first, may apply just before dinner time so there is a distraction.There isn’t much fragrance which means less chance of a reaction too.
