Really is a miracle brush!
This is by far the best brush I have ever purchased. I don’t just mean for my dogs – I mean it’s the best brush I’ve ever purchased, period. I have two shelties who of course have very long beautiful fur, but it needs to be frequently brushed or it will develop horrible mats. I purchased this brush to make the grooming easier so as to avoid the mats from forming, as well as to brush out the mats that DID form. It works beautifully. If the mats are not too large, it will actually work to untangle them and remove them. If the mats are too far gone, it will untangle and salvage some of the fur before you cut the rest of it out. Since purchasing this brush, my dogs have not developed any mats since it is so much more pleasant to brush them. The brush tips are very fine and glide through their fur easily. It is great at slicking their fur and it makes them look downright glossy afterward. In fact, it makes their fur look so glossy afterward that I actually contemplated buying one for myself since I have long hair lol. One of my shelties seems to actually enjoy being brushed and will lay down on her side while I’m grooming her. The other does not actually LIKE the brush, but will tolerate it and let me complete the task. Additionally, it’s a perfect size and fits comfortably in my hand while I’m doing the brushing. My only complaint is that some fur gets trapped in the bristles and it’s rather difficult to remove it from the center of the brush (the sides are very easy to clean because you don’t have to try to stick your fingers between the bristles to grab the fur). I have no doubt that I will buy another one and would highly recommend for long-haired dogs with thick coats.

MIRACULOUS for removing burrs!
We have a Standard Poodle whose hair is like velcro. Each spring he blunders repeatedly into some kind of bush that covers him in hundreds of tiny green burrs. Then he does a second rinse in another bush that adds a layer of big sticky burrs. Each autumn, he rediscovers a third bush that covers him in a thousand miniature razor-edged, arrowhead-shaped pointy things that vaguely resemble a devil’s head, which is apropos because they are satanic to remove. (What’s more, they’re black, and so is he. We can only find them by plunging our hands into his coat and getting jabbed.)Every year we spend hours pulling these things out of his coat, resulting in a lot of cussing, whining, and dirty looks from all parties involved. Combs and other brushes haven’t worked. The groomer charged a small fortune for removal during his last haircut. I was worried he would get a skin infection or get burrs embedded in his ears or eyes. In desperation I got this brush. Conveniently, it arrived right as he walked in covered with the devil’s head. I took the brush to his totally matted ear and OMG THE BURRS SLID RIGHT OUT. Even the ones buried deep came out easily, and either stayed in the brush for me to remove or just fell to the floor. It took about 10 minutes to remove them all, and it would’ve taken at least an hour otherwise.Best of all, he really liked the brush, and leaned into it as I worked. As others have noted, the tips aren’t needle-sharp like other slicker brushes, so it’s comfortable against his skin. It doesn’t pull the hair, and it works well on a thick, easily matted coat. It gets through all debris and detangles hair well. It seems well-constructed too.5 stars from people and poodles!

Not a bad brush
I like that it helps get mats out, but the bristles are a bit rough so don’t overbrush in one spot. Seems to work on long haired dogs very well. I typically use it on thicker mats and use a more gentle brush for back brushing. The handle is very comfortable which I like, but after a few months, it tends to start falling off. I am a dog groomer and didn’t expect it to last super ling. I usually buy a new one every 6 months to a year. It looks like the price has went up a bit so not sure if I’d keep buying it, but still not a bad value for how long they last.

AMAZING. I have a St. Bernard mixed puppy, and this brush glided through his coats like butter. There was no pulling at all and where his fur felt coarse and wiry, now feels like bunny fur, so soft. I’m blown away by how awesome this product is.
