Saved Our Rescued Scared Barking Dog
We have been trying to rescue an abandoned Mama dog with her puppies in our neighborhood. She is very thin, and living in coyote territory makes it dangerous for her and her babies. Finally, we managed to save the puppies, but Mama dog was acting aggressively and barking all day out of fear and stress. We left food nearby, which she ate, showing her trust. We thought that maybe a combination of wet dog food and calming powder could help her relax. Before that, we safely mixed a dewormer into her food bowl. The next meal, we added one packet of calming powder to the wet food. She ate everything without hesitation. After a few days, her behavior softened, and she became more gentle and approachable. We carefully put a leash on her and brought her into our kennel for a night, then transferred her to our garage. The calming powder seemed to work wonders—perhaps it helped her release stress hormones. Since it’s a probiotic, it’s possible that the combination with the dewormer allowed her body to absorb nutrients better. After weeks of cautious, defensive behavior and barking to protect her babies from humans and coyotes, she gradually lowered her guard and allowed us to pet her, saving her life and her puppies. We fed her one packet of powder per meal, twice daily for five days. It truly made a difference. Now, Mama dog is gaining weight, looking healthier, and beginning to heal. We’ve found a wonderful foster home with a secure backyard, where she can recover and be loved. Our goal is to help her find a forever home where she’ll be cherished and safe.

Perfect if your dog needs a little help
Ive given this to 2 different did with different results. It helps, I noticed a difference but depending on the dog and the level of anxiety the affect is different. The dogs love the flavor they lick the bowl clean, limited ingredients, smells good.

Great Product for Anxiety
Love this product! After about two weeks to fully kick in, this does a really great job at improving restlessness in my dog and her overall health. I now have it on subscription to help her anxiety. It also must taste great because she is a picky eater and enjoys when it’s in her food. Rated only four stars due to the price.

Safe supplement
I purchased these for my anxious dog to help take the edge off, and while I didn’t see a noticeable calming effect for him personally, I still think it’s worth sharing our experience. My dog (about 100 lbs and a bit of a menace 😅) managed to get onto the counter and ate all 30 packets at once. Thankfully, it did not harm him at all, which honestly gave me a lot of peace of mind regarding the safety of this supplement. That said, even after that accidental “mega dose,” it didn’t make him any calmer, so it just may not be strong enough for dogs with higher anxiety levels. I do appreciate that it’s a gentle option and a nice thing to try for dogs who need mild support, even if it wasn’t the right fit for mine.Safe, easy to use, but results may vary depending on the dog.

Vet Recommended, Negligible Results
I tried this supplement for my 10 lb. rescue pup after the vet recommended it for her anxiety (separation and fear-based). Each dose of the supplement comes in individual packets, making it easy to put in food or incorporate into a lick mat and to use on the go or at home. My dog loved the taste of the supplement, but even after a few months of use, I didn’t notice any changes in her behavior. It’s unfortunate to have spent almost $100 on a product that yielded no results for us. We ended up going back to the vet who prescribed medication that is both more affordable and more effective.

Great product to calm your dog
This stuff works! Our Scottie is much calmer, after only a couple weeks. She loves the taste and licks up the last bit of it. It is expensive, but I hesitate to try a cheaper one. Just so happy this is working!

Available in January 2024 in other packaging for less than 25 cents per day!)…simply because of their name, the perceived exclusive access, and some broth flavoring.>>>Instead, search forProbiotics Bifidobacterium Longum BB536…Available here on Amazon, and save yourself a lot of money, and send a message to Purina that we consumers can research medical literature and figure out that Bifidobacterium Longum BB536 is the EXACT SAME probiotic!Some bacteria have been given a different name in the past to now, the same as plants can have more than one botanical name — actually they have an older name and a corrected updated name.It is common for example in te plant trade for nurseries to not give up an old botanical name and yet current scientific literature has the new botanical name. So one must know both names to learn accurate information about such particular plants.That is what is happening here.Research it for yourself if you desire on Google Scholar and other published science search sites.It did take me a day of research to figure it out, but I had a hunch that since I could not find this name ANYWHERE — WHY IS THAT??? — that there was perhaps another name at play.Why would Purina be the ONLY access to a particular probiotic??!!! That answer is: THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY ACCESS.And what else is happening here is that Purina has found a lifesaving control for anxious pets, and priced it obscenely high.Search for BB536 and save yourself a heap of money. Break open the capsules and sprinkle on pet’s food.Watch their calmness levels increase.Highly recommend the probiotic. I do use other of Purina’s products for quality at a decent price.Wake up Purina and stop gouging the public.

Within 4 weeks of using this, my dog’s anxiety noticeably decreased and her appetite improved, (she’s usually a very picky eater). When I ran out for a few weeks, her anxious behavior and poor appetite came right back which made me realize how much this product works. This product is amazing. Highly recommend!
