Fantastic Collar & Great Customer Service!!
I love the weight of this collar, it is sturdy and balanced – not heavy. I also am grateful for the silicon dog tag to muffle the sound of her other tags. The artistic design is beautiful and the materials are durable.Initially, I had a concern about the lock mechanism, as I had to push in the sides and jiggle it quite a bit to get it off. I was concerned about this and contacted the Seller. They responded quickly and shipped me a replacement. The new collar has a smoother transition when unlocking it which I feel is safer in case of emergency.The Seller was very helpful and restored my faith in this product and buying from them. (Thanks again!!)Overall, we love it (we also bought the matching leash *which is equally fantastic*) and I highly recommend these products and buying from the Seller.

Stylish and Durable!
This collar is super durable and stylish! My Husky is rough on all of his collars and leashes, but this one has held up really well. The metal clasp is durable and secure, but easy to use. I will say, it takes a little finesse when clasping a fluffy dog as their hair gets stuck in it, but once you figure it out its very easy.The thickness of the collar is just right and and it seems pretty comfortable to him.

Great collar; terrible color options
Ruffwear makes excellent products and I’ve used this particular style of collar for 10+ years. These collars are high-quality and last forever. Sadly, however, when I recently went to purchase one for the newest member of the family, I found that the collar is no longer available in standard, solid, inconspicuous colors. Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but the new designs feel like they’re trying way too hard to be cool and trendy. I’m outfitting a handsome dog, not a trendy teenager! I picked what appeared to be the least obtrusive (“Dusk Blue”) and it’s okay, but the solid colors were a whole lot nicer.Also, I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the release mechanism on the metal buckle doesn’t seem to be as high-quality as in prior years. It’s still an excellent, strong, heavy-duty buckle which feels solid and helps keep the leash ring in a good position, but the two-pronged opening mechanism does not operate as smoothly as the ones on my prior Top Rope collars. Maybe it will loosen up a little over time.This collar is more expensive than most, but I think it’s worth the price based on the overall quality and durability. (But please, Ruffwear, bring back solid colors!)4 stars (5, if the color options were better).

Buckle is huge compared to collar
This is a nicely made collar but the buckle is way larger than the width of the collar, making it so that it would dig into your dog’s skin. I returned it because of this.

==PROs==Die Schnalle ist sehr stabil und hält – schon seit Jahren – bombenfest; eher gibt das Band den Geist auf.Bei grober Verschmutzung muss die Schnalle mal gespült werden, wenn z.B. Schlamm rein gerät. Dann ölen wir sie auch mit Ballistol-Öl wegen der mechanischen, beweglichen Teile, dann läuft alles wieder butterweich.==CONS==Zu beachten ist, dass die Schnalle etwas breiter als das Halsband ist, daher eventuell nicht für alle Hunde-Hälse ideal.Auch ist die Schnalle deutlich schwerer, als die Kunststoff-Schnallen; für zierliche Hunde mit schwachen Rücken-/Halsmuskeln daher nicht die erste Wahl 😉

El collar es de buena calidad pero como dicen es caro, a mi lo único que no me gusta es el precio, como fuertes pues el diseño si te gusta claro, que tiene parte reflectante pero sobretodo es que siempre la anilla está arriba y además es muy grande y fácil de enganchar lo que le hace muy cómodo yo lo compre por eso , el cierre es de aluminio y se ve bueno aunque no creo que sea resistente al agua saldada, cuando esté en el mar usaré otro por si acaso.

Big fan of this brand I’ve been using them for years for my pet however, this specific design as it has been made to last as a big problem!!!!! underneath the metal buckle is built in a way that catches the dogs hair underneath, and with every shake and movement pulls their hair out. I only noticed it after I have been using it for months on my dog and I saw a piece is building and his skin has became irritated.

Very difficult to open, I thought it will be better overtime. But 6month later it is even worth.If there is sand in it it is literally not openable at all. I do not know how it is possible to appreciate this itemThere is only one job when designing dog collar and it is choosing a good buckle. This one is a huge fail.
