Nothing about this product is specific to dogs. Which may be a real disappointment, or if you’re looking to use it for other things that walk away, it might be just perfect.Overall the complexity, and mis-representation of it being a pet-specific device, get this knocked down to two stars.

Excellent Pet Tracker, Not Too Bulky.
This has been a fantastic GPS tracking device for our Yorkie. We don’t usually let him roam far, but on occasion, he’s broken his collar or bolted out the door. He may be small, but he sure is fast 😄. This ensures that if he ever gets too far, we can easily find him.The device itself is lightweight & not too bulky. My 10lb Yorkie doesn’t mind wearing it & hasn’t been bothered by it at all. It comes with a magnetic USB charging cable & was easy to set up in just a few steps using the app, which is compatible with both iOS & Android. It’s durable enough for everyday wear & the battery lasts days before a recharge is required.This does require a monthly subscription to work, but there are several options available, so you can choose based on your preferences. The app is easy to navigate & uses image mapping. The locator is fairly precise—within about 30 feet. While it doesn’t show me exactly where he is in the house, I can tell whether he’s inside or outside based on the map.I appreciate additional features like setting a geo-radius or custom fence. I receive a notification if he goes beyond the boundary I’ve set. However, this feature could use some improvement. Occasionally, the locator falsely places him outside the fence when he’s actually sitting at my feet, triggering repeated notifications.I love the blinking LED lights that can be activated from the app. The bright red, green & blue flashes could help locate a pet in the dark. However, the alert beep is far too quiet. I’m unsure if it’s meant to help locate the device itself (if misplaced) or the pet, but either way, it’s nearly impossible to hear over normal household noise, let alone outside. This feature would be much more useful if the volume were significantly louder.Another issue is the QR code on the device, which says, “Scan to help me home.” Unfortunately, this didn’t work, so I’m unsure what exactly it was supppsed to show. If someone were to find my pet & try to use this to contact me, they wouldn’t be able to get any information. This feature would be far more helpful if it worked properly & allowed customization, such as adding a phone number, message, address, or email.Overall, this is a great GPS tracker that does work & accurate, but there’s definitely some small things that could be improved on to maximize its features & capabilities.

Why wouldn’t you just get another tracking device?
I’m only in the setup phase and I’m pretty put off by this product.Initial impressions:-Wow, it really is bulky (I was hoping it was shown a little off scale for detail in the product photos, but that really is the size, 1″ H, 2 1/4″ L, 1/2″ D-I hate a specialty charging cord. They really couldn’t have managed any sort of USB? Not to mention this will disconnect with the slightest bump while charging-Creating an account was easy, but I’m put off by the fact that before you even see subscription options, you are prompted to write a review with a photo for a month of free subscription. How am I supposed to know how to review it if I haven’t used it yet…? We’ll see if this review gets me a month to try?-The price of the subscription. You can basically get all of these features with a Tile, and pro features for $2.99/month, basically the same for an Apple Air Tag. According to the product features, there is nothing added that could justify $20/moI’m honestly writing this so I can receive a free month to actually try it, I don’t want to pay for it first. They should definitely offer a free month before subscribing, that would make much more sense and not bait for dishonest reviews to get a free month.I’ll update if I’m able to use and th experience deserves more than 1 star.
