We love going to the off leash dog park with our dogs. One of my dogs is a farm rescue. He loves to hop fences and disappear under brush. How do I find him in areas there is poor or no cellphone coverage?I got an AORKuler Dog GPS tracker. It comes in a zippered pouch. Inside, you will find a fairly well written quick start guide, the controller and antenna, the tracker and fixture for attaching it to the collar. Also, there’s two magnetic charge cords. You will need a charger with two USB-A sockets.Both the tracker and the controller have a GPS receiver in them. The tracker transmits the GPS coordinates over a license-free wireless connection to the controller. The controller computes the distance between the two GPS readings and displays the distance in feet or meters. The controller also has a magnetic compass so that it can indicate the direction. At a close range the tracker and controller pair using Bluetooth. It uses a long range protocol for distances over 50 ft. I’ve tracked my dog as far as 800ft away. So how do I get my dog to come back?The controller can send a command to the tracker causing it to sound a tone. At night the controller can turn on the LED so that you can see the dog at night. I reward him for hearing the tone and coming back to me.What I like: 1) No cellphone bill. Can use in areas where there is no cellphone coverage. 2) I’m pleased with the distance in semi-wooded areas. 3) The battery life for both tracker and controller are really good.What an upgraded product would include:1) A mechanical buzzer in the tracker would be nice. Sometimes dogs need an extra nudge.2) It would be nice if the controller could forward both the tracker and controller’s information via Bluetooth to a app that uses downloadable maps to show where the dog and controller are. Sometimes dogs go where humans can’t quickly get to.3) I wish there was an RSSI or SNR indication that would let me know the how well the data communication between the tracker and the controller is doing. I need to be able to judge the distance to recall the dog. This depends a lot on terrain and vegetation.My dog will always love to hop fences and run under brush. But I know where he is and can get his attention to come back. I’m really impressed with this product *****

Great tracker
Just what I was looking for. We have a poor cell signal in our area so the Tractive would not work easily. Have never had any problems with using this tracker as it relies totally on satellite. Have to give it a couple of minutes to update your position if you haven’t used it for a while. Tells me what direction my pup is in and how far out she is from me. Have not had to try it long range, thankfully! I can recall her pretty quick (holler for her) before she is too far away. Can usually get 2 days of use before it is down to 1 bar and I need to recharge it. I have it mounted on top of her chest harness which is a Ruffwear brand. At night i can see it blinking which helps with location also. Has a separate controller which fits easily in a pocket. Overall well worth the money and time it took to research it.

Great tracker for those who want to avoid subscriptions
Tracker is well built and I appreciate that it comes with a hard case. It works well so far! I used it for my dog at my cabin and it had no issues tracking him down (with no phone service this was a godsend). It is intuitive to use and I really like how I don’t need a subscription with it. The only improvement I would like with this so far is the beeper is quite quiet, to the point that its hard to hear more than a few feet away, however I use this in combination with a training collar that is much much louder. Overall, great product that I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to avoid pesky subscriptions.

Missing One Obvious Feature That Would Make It 5 Stars
Decent budget tracker. Works well in thick woods, distance is accurate, and the direction arrow is usually close enough.Biggest flaw: no alert when your dog leaves the ~50 ft “Nearby” range. You have to constantly stare at the handheld. By the time you notice, he’s often hundreds of yards away and you’re stuck trusting a lagging arrow while playing “hot and cold” with the distance number.A simple beep or vibration for range violation would make this the best low-cost tracker available. As it is, it feels half-finished. The “last known direction” feature has saved me multiple times, but with a fast, zig-zagging dog you’re often out of luck.Good concept, frustratingly incomplete. 3 stars.

This gps tracker works great, customer service is fast and awesome! There is no subscription to worry about, and I’ve noticed on mine it will track my dogs for miles. Very easy to setup.Now I have peace of mind if my dogs wonder off.I’m updating this post.We have a lemon drop beagle that loves slipping off into the dense woods. She wears a Fi GPS tracking collar, but in the deep woods it often loses signal. Fortunately, I had the Aorkuler tracker attached to her collar, and it was able to pinpoint her exact location.I’m so thankful I had this device on her that day—it made finding her simple and stress-free. I highly recommend the Aorkuler to anyone who needs to locate a lost dog in thick woods or areas with no cell service. It’s truly a lifesaver!!!The handheld receiver works great, showing you exactly how far away your dog is and in which direction.

I really like this tracker. The main reason that I bought this one is that it does not depend on cellar service. It can be used anywhere. Most places we go camping here in the mountains of Utah, there is no cell service. When I take my two dogs for a hike in the woods, I put this on my 9 month old Border Collie. She can then run and explore all she wants and I don’t need to constantly recall her. A quick glance at the controller tells my where she is at all times. Also, It will run many days on a full charge. I put it on her when we get to our camp site and she wears it all the time with no problems. The housings that holds it on her collier is well design and durable. Best of all, with a 3.5 mile range I don’t have to worry about her running off and getting lost. Peace of mind.I give it five stars.

This device isn’t fit for market. The times my dog has run off following a scent this tracker has screwed up. Once it showed my dog was circling me at a radius of 200 metres. She wasn’t. Another time it had my dog 1,100 metres away and over the river. Not only that the indicator was red rather than green show it showed ‘her last known location’ for over a hour. She hadn’t crossed the river. I had to restart the tracking device, then it took 15 minutes to gps update then I found my dog by going home… and there she was. Tracker useless.Another time it showed my dog was 170 metres to the south, when I got there it switched to 200 metres to the north, when I went there it went back to the south. My dogs not playing tricks on me…It takes 10-15 minutes to gps update which is critical time when your dogs off and running.The beeping function is so quiet only your dog can really hear it and the button to activate the beeping is so sensitive that 5 minutes in your pocket and it beeps… except only your dog can hear it. So training your dog to return when she hears the beeping is ruined by random beeping. Waste of money. Delusional peace of mind.

Item didnt work.While customer support were friendly and attempted to correct the issue by sending a new tracker puck, the item did not ever work and I am added to the list of people with reviews online stating does not work. Additionally the controller device takes a considerable length of time to connect to a GPS signal, far longer than my other GPS devices.Sorry to say, this one is a bust for me, even with the friendly customer service.

Not impressed, Instructions are hopeless. Spends more time “GPS updating” than anything else. After 3 days my confidence is very low.
