Saved my dogs’ lives
My dogs escaped under the fence. Thankfully, this collar allowed me to track them in real time and I was able to pick them both up unharmed. I am forever grateful this type of collar exists and can only recommend it if you have dogs that are escape artists.

Amazing!
I recently got the Halo Collar 5 and love it. I travel with my dog almost every weekend and I had heard about the Halo and decided to get it. My parents live in the country and it’s amazing to see exactly where Bentley is all the time. The GPS and app work so well together. Bentley learned what beep means and he never crosses a boundary. I had an in-the-ground wired fence growing up and hated shocking my dogs. This is a perfect solution for people with active dogs.

Greatest Fence/Tracker For The Price
After researching options for an electric fence, the Halo Collar 5 was the best fit for our dog and lifestyle. It’s scary to think that if your electric fence fails, your pet could be anywhere. With the Halo Collar, real-time GPS location will lead you right to them in that worst-case scenario. We travel with our pup, so with the Halo Collar, we can set up wireless fences wherever we go. Whether it’s a trip to the beach, a park, campsite, or even work, you can create a parameter fence on your phone screen that will contain your pup wirelessly with ease. There are multiple levels of membership. For now, under 10 dollars a month, we have real time GPS on our pup and the ability to keep her safe on the go. They have a great library for training and app help to walk you through the setup process and all the options that the Halo Collar has to offer.

Now, Candi stays on the property!
This was my second purchase of a GPS enabled dog fence system. My expectations were low after my first attempt with another brand.Halo five is killer. Our new dog is about eight months old and was a precocious little runner. We live on a spot that’s a little over an acre with irregular border lines and cannot be completely fenced. Candi had found the escape points and was relentless. Very frustrating. The halo five program is very strong. It mandates the training of the dog before you set the digital fence. This is simple and beneficial. By the time you set the fence, the dog barely needs it except for reinforcement when you’re not standing there. But they learn fast. Buy with confidence!

Limited usefulness outside the city.
I’m only a few days into owning two Halo 5 collars, so these are first impressions.Firstly, unless you live in the city with a strong, reliable cell signal, most of the collar’s functions are not going to work for you. The GPS fencing should still work, as long as your city lot is also treeless with a completely unobstructed view of the sky. But for me who lives where cell signals are frequently absent or just a couple of bars and have a wooded property, it’s just not working out.Secondly, I was shocked to find that your dog’s whereabouts are not recorded. If she roams where there is no cell or WiFi (which is 90% of my land), there is no way to download and review the history to she where she has been. This is a feature commonly found on collars that are literally 1/10th the cost (Tractive, $40-$50; PetLink $65, etc.). I can’t fathom why this feature isn’t offered. After all, the required hardware is already built in, all that would be necessary to implement this would be some software. This is a HUGE hole in an otherwise very capable piece of gear. The app is useful, but not intuitive. It takes a good while to learn and remember where to find all the various settings and functions. Give yourself plenty of time to get thoroughly acquainted with it before you start training. You don’t want to be fumbling around menus trying to find the whistle while your dog is racing away towards the highway! Even better than the app would be handheld remote that simply provided immediate access to the feedback functions; whistle, warning, encouragements, etc.So if you live on a treeless lot in the city or only want to use GPS fencing, the Halo 5 might work for you. But otherwise I can’t recommend. I may decide to keep the collars solely for the GPS fencing, but we’ll see.Update 1/2/26:Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make these collars work for us and will be returning them. On the positive side, the seller’s customer support has been absolutely stellar! They’ve been nothing but understanding and very helpful.

Best GPS Collar Out There!
This is amazing! I have been through countless GPS collars and even the Invisible Fence and none of them compared to this. I highly recommend it! It was easy to set up and Benjamin the Doodle just loves that I accidently bought pink! Best color ever!

Most expensive garbage I have ever purchased
Very expensive piece of junk. I am assuming these were meant for city folk. I bought these to keep my dogs near the house on my ranch. Nice open fields with no obstructions. Just needed to make sure they stayed on my lad and I didn’t want to run wire over all the acreage. Unfortunately these hunks of junk can’t seem to find a gps signal. Absolute garbage sold like it’s gold. Plus they advertise a $10/mo subscription but the truth is it’s more like $40/mo if you want them to have full functionality. But even then these still don’t work at all.
