Best I’ve used.
I have a 106 lb English Labrador (Huck). I have had dogs my entire life and I have used many different nail trimmers. I’ve only trimmed Huck’s nails one time with these large Fiskers but I believe they are the best I’ve ever used. They cut really clean. Others I’ve used in the past leave sharp edges on the claws and these cut really nice & clean. They seem to put less pressure on a dog’s claws than the classic half round shaped blades. Definitely a quality tool.

Perfect, especially for brittle nails
These are better than I hoped, they cut quickly through my older cats thick brittle nails without crushing them. I just ordered a couple of pairs of the small and large for the animal shelter I work for.

Sharp blade, comfortable handling
These clippers are sharp, which is good for cutting nails and not accidentally crushing them. My boy has very thick nails and these sliced through with ease. They feel decent in the hand, which makes clipping comfortable. My main concern is how long will the blade remain sharp. I love all things Fiskars, so when I saw these had to try. The only thing that would make them truly awesome would be the addition of a nail guard (stop).

Sufficient for home use – For puppies and cat nail trims
Work in the veterinary field by trade. Nail trims are part of the job. These are decent nail trimmers for the cost. They do not have a return spring and are pretty small. They would be great for cats and puppies. If you have a medium to large size dog, I would recommend the larger version (which includes a return spring). For professional use, I personally have another brand that I prefer for daily use that has a return spring and is larger/fits my hand better. I think these are perfect for home use and that’s where I will be utilizing them. I included a measuring tape for size. If you have smaller hands or dislike return spring style clippers, these might be for you. These are significantly better than other brands that I have tried.
