Works decent
I’ve had a while to use this and overall think the quality is quite nice for the price point. When I first activated the service it took 3 days before the location started being reported. It has some type of motion detector in it and will not update the location if it hasn’t been moving, I’m guessing for battery saving. But even if it doesn’t move for a week it won’t update the location. While the unit is moving, it seems to update the location every 5 minutes. Location is very accurate. There certainly are other options out there that may be better, and also pricier, but given this met my expectations I would consider it a very nice value. I really hope it stays free forever and doesn’t just cease to exist.

Peace of mind that you could find your dog if they got loose. No monthly fee.
I got this for my new puppy who is quite a fireball. We didn’t let her out much at the time because we didn’t have all of her shots and she wasn’t fixed yet but were worried that she’d manage to get out of the door every time we opened it. This was security so that we might be able to find her if she were to get out. My older dogs lot out when they were younger. Once I was out of town and you can imagine the panic when my husband called to tell me. They were picked up by the dog catcher a mile away. One got out another time and had gotten spooked and was hiding under someone’s deck. Luckily neighborhood kids located him for us. If I’d had this, the stress level would have been so much lower. You set up the app and follow the instructions to get this connected. Once that has happened, the app shows you the location of the device. It is updated every half a minute or so and that certainly would get you in the ballpark of your furry friend. Since my escapees were found in 2 totally different places when they got out, I wouldn’t have even known where to start looking but this would have gotten me close with much less stress.I really really like that there are no fees after the device is purchased. I have enough monthly bills and might not have been able to afford one that had a big monthly fee. I like the peace of mind that I could find my puppy if she got out without having to pay a lot. I also like that it has a way to save battery when your dog is at home and there is no need to keep track of them.

Works Amazingly Well and No Monthly Fees
I would give the VITALGLOW GPS Tracker ten stars if that was possible. For the well under $200 price and no monthly subscription, I wasn’t expecting great performance. Was I ever wrong! I love this tracker. My Corgi has an AirTag, HomeAgain Tag, and Nametag with phone number and address on her collar, but nothing measures up to the VITALGLOW Tracker. Five months ago my pup went exploring when she slipped out a door that was left open by accident. It was a panicked 40 minutes before her AirTag pinged a location. If she’s not near an iPhone it doesn’t work. That made me wonder about finding a better tracking method. I looked at several but all required a monthly subscription. When the VITALGLOW tracker appeared I decided to try it. I LOVE this tracker. It didn’t fit on any of the collars I owned so I cut the buckle off a puppy collar I had, slid on the tracker, and reattached the buckle. I was going to take off a star because it doesn’t fit over Quick Release buckles, even a small size buckle. However, the tracker works so well I’ll forgive having to cut the collar to get the tracker on. My 26 lb. Corgi doesn’t seem to mind the tracker’s size or weight, or flashing at night. She’s a Fluffie, so you can barely see her tracker under her fur. You can’t see her tags well either. This tracker works extremely well. The battery lasted 8 full days before it showed at under 10% on my phone. It took under 5 hours to recharge the tracker. It records history for 180 days. I can click on any day and see where she’s been. The accuracy is very good. The screenshot I posted is a map of a half hour in the dog park near us. The park is about a third of a block in size. I was impressed that it not only showed the drive to the park, but where she walked in the park. I can see where my son took her on a walk two days ago. The accuracy is excellent from what I see and I check it a couple times a day just to see how it’s working. The one time it wasn’t spot on was when our dog was in the house. Directions say that when the dog is in a building accuracy may not be completely accurate. Except for the one time, I can see where our dog is in the house by checking the tracker on my phone. I Can even see in the tracking history where and when she’s been running back and forth on our 40-foot deck. I set up my property as the “fenced” aka “Safe” area and the tracker pings my phone if my pup goes outside the our safe area. A woman at the dog park was asking me about the tracker. When I showed her the mapping feature and told her the cost she said she was getting one for each of her four four dogs. She had also experienced the AirTag issue I had with the AirTag not working if it was more than 200 feet from an iPhone. She stated how I feel, “No monthly subscription? What a great device!”. I definitely recommend this tracker.

Great value, simple and works well
Great little tracker. It feels rugged and durable, and from my testing it seems pretty accurate, within about 2 or 3 meters, which is more than good enough for keeping tabs on a dog. The battery lasts roughly a week per charge, which is solid for something like this. Having no subscription fees is honestly a huge plus and part of why I grabbed this one. Definitely feels like good value. The only minor gripe is the charging cable. I would’ve preferred something more universal like USB-C, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Overall, I’m happy with it. It’s not too bulky, sits well on the collar, and the app works fine. Simple and straight to the point.

One Ping Only….
After charging all night, I took the tracker with me on a trip into town to test it. I got one single location ping and it never updated after that. I am not impressed at all. I am going to do a return, I might upgrade this review later if the return goes well or I get a replacement swiftly that actually works. A few days after posting this review, the seller contacted me to see if they could help or make things right, so I am adding a star. I had already submitted for a direct Amazon credit refund.
