Efficient rechargeable dog nail grinder with handy light
Let me start by pointing out that I found it strange that this item is primarily marketed as a dog nail grinder rather than a rotary tool since dog nail grinders sell for considerably less as that is pretty much their only function.That said, this is a good rotary tool for the price point. I did test it out on dog nails and it works as well as other grinders and rotary tools used over the years especially with the light making it much easier to see the nail quicks (my dogs have white nails).My primary reason for getting this item was for the rotary tool functionality as my old Dremel died and I did not want to spend a lot of money for a replacement when it is something with limited use in my home. I am working on a project using pvc and have used the rough and smooth sanding bands to quickly remove rough edges as well as even out any uneven cuts.Overall I have been pleased with the performance as it has more than sufficient power/rpm speed for my use and the light works well. It it a bit noisy at the top speeds but not an issue for the dogs as lower speeds are fine for regular nail maintenance. It comes with a small case to hold the accessories so I am using the original box to store everything together.

Hello, so I wanted to mention I did get this as part of the Vine ProgramSo, the boy in the Video is Frankie (or more properly Francis) and you see him in my other videos.He is a pure bread boxer and is 110 lbs and his nails are constantly growing fast and sharp. We have a massive 2200 sqf concrete patio that he runs all over and a tennis court and he goes on 2 walks a day, doesn’t matter they do not get worn down like they should. We also have Jr Bacon another Pure Bread boxer who is closer to 125 but he does not like Dremels so I didn’t record him which was a shame because he didn’t mind this one as its MUCH quieter than oursThe wife has a Dremel, but its bigger and heavier and more difficult to use, so I got this for her for when we need to make quick changes to Frankies Nails.The Pros1. It’s nice and light weight but very durable it is a high-quality product for sure2. It comes in a great package very similar to other Dremel’s and has a lot of nice attachments3. It’s very easy to change the heads out and it comes with a great light (which we show in the video) which our other Dremel does not have so that is a huge bonus4. It has configurable speeds for when you are doing Nails versus Arts and Crafts and it changes speeds very quickly5. The charge does last a long while. I cannot speak to how long the battery will last overall but it held its charge very well6. It is quiet in terms of Dremels and much much much quieter than our other Dremel which is bigger by a lot7. For the price point its a great product for sure, coming with great storage and attachmentsConsThere is really only 1 Con and really I would rate it a 4.5 but Amazon does not let us.In the video you can see that the wife did take the point off his one nail but it took several tries. With our other Dremel at the same speed it did all of his nails on that foot in that time.So its a really great tool for taking down points and with time it would take down the nail, but not fast enough for our giant dogs 🙂 to make it safe and worthwhile. However, my mothers little dog it went hog wild on and got it done super fast as their nails were much smaller.So if you have arts and crafts, if you have a smaller, maybe a medium size dog this thing is amazing, from its quality to its noise level, to the packing and accessories, I mean its a great product.It just did not fully meet what we need in terms of time and our giant dogs. But again, it took the point off fast and sometimes thats all we need so its a solid 4.5 for us says Frankie 🙂
